I came back to Schoons to go to Fiber optic school and start up a fiber optic splicing

service for them. After procureing equipment and starting up splicing unit I have finished

3 FTTH projects successfully with less than 2 percent repairs.

FTTX certified outside plant, Working closly with engineering firm and phone company I

have developed my skills in Fiber splicing and testing also used my prior supervision

skills to manage my area bidding, procuring materials,tracking production sequential,

splicing,testing,documenting and tabbing for invoicing.Currently working on a FTTH

I was hired for the project managers position by Schoon const ruction to work a fiber to

the home project for Colo telephone. My experience in inspection and supervision was a

good fit for this position. I handled inventory,verification of fiber and duct

footages,equipment installation, tabbing for invoicing, fiber testing and worked closely

with the resident engineer and C.O. Manager. I work well with minimal supervision. I

have good decision and people skills. The project was finished on time with few

problems. This type of work has really caught my interest and I am interested in being

involved in a fairly new and interesting concept.

I was on lay of from Schoon construction went to work for Kiamichi prepping,splicing,

testing fiber optics. Also installed cabinets in c.o. patch panels spliced and otdr tested

those, installed network interface devices and power supplys on homes. Went to

Denver to a light brigade school and I am currently Electronic Technician Association

certified in fiber optic installation. Also have experience in cable locating.

Proficent in starting new and challenging units . I started several new operations in the

meat processing area of my career when i went to construction used the same skills to

project mange my first FTTh project while doing this I developed an interest in Fiber

optics and have done well in this area learning hands on than taking certificaton

schooling in Fiber optic installation outside plant. I reseached and acquired all

equipment to start up fiber optic unit for Schoon construction and would like to use my

skills to expand or start units up for other companys.
