Present                            Fielded and completed Fiber to the Home (FTTH) construction prints for aerial and buried applications.  CenturyLink pole line work from             

July 2012 to December 2012, completing overdue joint use applications.  Worked AT&T projects.

Oct 2011                            Worked copper DS1 projects in the Design Provisioning Center utilizing OPEDS / BSTCAD, completed PMTOOL and Wide Band testing.

 

Apr 2010 to              Mountain LTD,  ATT, Kansas City, Missouri

Aug 2010              Worked from home completing F2 pair bonding on projects using the DCP and FEI modules in the Engineering Portal for ATT’s project Light Speed. Project managed approximately 10 engineers with projects flowing through me for Quality Control on 80 projects.

 

Feb 2008 to              Butler Telecom, RRT / ATT, Detroit, Michigan

June 2009              Planning completed in the Resource Recycling Technology database for the removal of ATT copper trunk lines.  Transferred to RRT operations in September 2008 as project / program manager.

 

April 2005 to              Butler Telecom, SBC / ATT, Livonia, Michigan

Nov 2007              Prepared work order packages in design for FTTN U-verse (Lite Speed), tracking jobs and trouble-shooting all jobs / revisions with construction including problems with AOTL, R/W & easement placements, conduit, cable, splicing and electrical.  Was requested by planning periodically for help with fiber routing, costing and design.  Worked units starting in August 2006 for Butler and PowerTel Inc. placing VRAD’s and F2 conditioning in the Detroit and Chicago metro areas.  Completed between 3 – 5 VRAD placements / week and 3 – 5 F2 conditioning jobs per week.   Worked with drafting in Micro station (ARES).

April 2005              Worked from home completing Distribution analysis and rehab planning packages.  Used OPTI-LITE CAD.

              Completed Distribution analysis packages based on information from ATT LEIS–LAD (loop activity data) output.

Oct 2004              Single contract engineer in remote engineering office.  Managed all engineering for nine rural wire centers.  Managed other contract engineers through ACAS projects.  Major projects were NGDPG, engineered and coordinated Civic projects (City and County road relocations), service to Cellular Towers including inspection, held orders (F1, F2, T1, T3).  Presented project proposals to planning for F1 relief.  Inspector for MCI in Detroit for highway relocation / rebuild project (Highway 12 – Michigan Ave).

Oct 2001              Project Engineer for Infrastructure Maintenance Organization.  Supervised work load for 14 engineers.  Worked with drafting in Micro station (ARES).

to July 2001              Regional Manager for OSP Cellular operations, Texas consisted of walk through, routing and pricing for antennas at various buildings in Houston, Texas.

 

Jan 2000 to              Southwestern Bell Telephone, Austin, Texas

March 2001              Contracted Jan to April, hired on as Manager Engineering Design - Managed all engineering, outsource and in-house, for the Fireside wire center.  Approved CLEC applications and designed diverse routing for fiber DS3 circuits.  Worked with and supervised seven contractors and helped train new SWB engineering employees. AutoCAD 2000/4CEF OPTICAD. Managed / Engineered for Broadband (PRONTO) projects.

 

June 1999 to              ComPlus, IXC / Broadwing Communications, Austin, TX

Jan 2000              Senior Project Fiber Designer - Supervised Engineering Companies and completed working drawings for conduit entrance / diversity routes within the United States. Coordinated and engineered 14 route miles of underground with Bell South in Miami, FL. CAD 14.

June 1999              Project Engineer/Manager - Worked numerous large projects including pair allocations for ADSL (36 SAI’s), managing four engineers and two drafters.  Start up for SW Bell 4CEF (OPTI) system included setup and training.  Also included permitting to TXDOT for Caprock Communications.  AutoCAD 14, OPTI-LITE.

 

April 1997 to              Henkels & McCoy, GTE, Gardnerville, Nevada

July 1997              Engineered and submitted work prints in Micro station IDDS (ICGS) for placement of pair gain units (copper fed UMDC) and feeder relief in rural farming areas of Nevada.  Completed nine projects.

 

March 1994 to              North Star Telecom Services, Nevada Bell, Reno, Nevada

April 1997              Facilities Planner, Lead Area Engineer, Project Engineer- Complete Route planning for the Reno South & Metro areas. Analyzed wire center distribution areas for high cost maintenance utilizing LAD database.  Managed four engineers completing Fiber fed Lite-Span, SLC96 & Series 5 - copper and fiber fed based on Bell PLAN programs. Handled all ISDN, HI-CAP and DS3 requests. AutoCAD 11 & AutoCAD 12.

 

March 1993 to              Professional Assistance Inc. / A.T. & T., GTE, Honolulu, Hawaii

March 1994              Project Engineer / Distribution Planning Manager - Detailed work orders and projects in Micro station IDDS (ICGS) on the island of Oahu for Hawaiian Telephone.  Promoted in August to Planning Manager representing A.T. & T. for the State of Hawaii. Feb 1993              Facilities Planner / Senior Engineer - Presented estimate proposals and detailed Feeder Administration Packages for complete route relief in rural and suburban areas of northern California.  Planned and designed Rule 20 highway relocation projects. In UNIX, utilized and trained company managers in the use of LEIS / LEAD, PLAN, ESM, DILEP and LAD - Bell Telephone computer programs.  Left for required six-month separation from P.T.&T.

                            projects - worked on line with splicers and the Mechanized Line Assignment Center.  Engineered T1 routing for first cell tower in Springfield, Mass. and completed walk through with  vendor for equipment location and routing through to hospital roof.

Submitted and engineered planning packages for copper digital relief estimates, including SLC Series 5, integration and mainframe terminations for unigauge office conversions.  Exchange fiber fed SLC included ordering, equipping and installation instruction for 80D cabinets and Controlled Environmental Vaults.

              Completed routine orders for Distribution Services Engineering, organized new pole lines and rebuilds with all various utilities. Worked with Line Assigners to complete held orders and with the installation of analog pair gain (S6B and CM8).

              Coordinated the completion of seven Long Range Planning Binders in the Boston Metro area. Utilized EFRAP,
