Ø      SMECO:  Successfully supported upgrade efforts throughout the SMECO service area installing 750 service via Directional Drilling method through critical land areas replacing out dated cable and equipment.

Ø      State of Maryland:  Install fiber optic systems throughout the region supporting the state’s Rural Broadband stimulus project connecting state agencies together via a new fiber optic network.

 

Unity Construction of D.C.                                                                                                       2009 - 2011

Project Executive  

Ø      Reconfigured the basement of an 1850’s era historical building installing a new data center. Project consisted of asbestos removal, new construction of walls, ceilings, floors, new HVAC systems, new electric systems, new fire protection systems and new OSP/ISP pathways to accommodate new cabling. Maintained a 40% profit margin.

Ø      Procured all materials and labor to complete this 18 month project.

Ø      Interfaced with Verizon to coordinate the change over from the existing 1800 pair copper feed to a new 600 pair copper feed and the transition to a fiber supported VOIP system for the remaining portion of the campus.

Ø      Interfaced with Comcast to coordinate the installation of their new service into the campus.

Ø      Conducted weekly progress meetings to report and manage the progress of the project to the customer.

 

Atlantic Construction Services                                                                                     2007 - 2009

Ø      Managed a staff of 30 highly skilled craftsmen successfully completing the installation of fiber optic networks throughout the region.

Ø      SONET Fiber Networks: successfully completed the installation of two 30 mile fiber rings in Montgomery County Maryland supporting Fibertech’s east coast rollout.

Ø      DAS Networks: successfully completed the construction of two Distributed Antenna Systems in support of Sprint’s rural cellular build in Montgomery County Maryland.

Ø      FTTH System Colonial Beach Virginia: constructed a 100 mile FTTH network supporting Metrocast’s entrance into the phone and internet environment as well as CATV services.

 

Severn Construction, L.L.C.

President                                                                                                                       2000 – 2007

Ø      A subsidiary of Potomac Electric Power Company. Customers include public and private sector firms such as Washington, D.C., Baltimore City, New Jersey Department of Transportation, Baltimore Gas and Electric and Potomac Electric Power Company.

Ø      Expanded company revenues by 650% in a 7 year period by developing and implementing a long range plan that focused on specific markets of electric utilities and regional municipalities.

Ø      Daily responsibilities included scheduling, budgets, bids, procurement, corporate policies, performance evaluations and overseeing month end closings.

Ø      Implemented a successful safety program that resulted in an EMR of less than 1.0 throughout the expansion.

Ø      Completed multiple Baltimore City street scape projects as well as street rehabs and street light installations.

Ø      Constructed multiple state sponsored fiber optic deployment projects along New Jersey freeways, bridges and railways.

Ø      Maintained a 25 person staff on Pepco’s Montgomery County system installing streetlights and residential services.

Ø      Maintained BGE’s street light contract for two years.

Owner, President and CEO

Ø      Built, operated and sold Severn Cable to Potomac Electric Power Company.

Ø      Constructed Starpower’s hybrid-fiber coax system throughout Washington, D.C. and Montgomery County, Maryland.

Ø      Responsible for all aspects of operating the business including business planning, preparing and presenting proposals, interfacing with clients and customers.

Ø      Managed the daily activities of 100 craft personnel and two administrative assistants.
