Installation of ONU (Optical Network Unit).
Laying of
Fiber optic cable from subscriber up to ODF/FDH rack.
Termination of
fast connectors to parch panel.
Optical
testing of Fiber optic cables using OTDR and power meter with light source
from equipment
connection to
ONU equipment to make it sure if the db loss is passed before migrate into
new
system of
FTTH-GPON projects.
Surveying of
all buildings, villas and measuring if the cable route is possible to install
FOC.
Migrating the
copper cable into FTTH installation for the new optical network unit, configuration
and activation, powering up of various routers or modems.

SCOPE OF WORK:
Cable Splicer - Copper Cable
- Preparation and installation of distribution point.
- Splicing of aerial and underground cable using UY connector
and modular splicing system.
- Termination of copper at main distribution frame (MDF),
digital loop carrier (DLC), and cross connect cabinet.
- Testing of new trunking cable for insulation resistance,
continuity grounding and shorts.
- Installation, closing and re-entry of XAGA 550, mechanical
closure and UCN closure.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Installation of grounding, aerial and underground spliced
cables.
- Daily routine check-up for preventive maintenance.
- Preparation, installation and splicing of fiber optic cable.
- Conduct pre-acceptance test such as installation resistance
and pair continuity.
- Conduct flow analysis and repair of leaks of the ground
pressurized cables.
- Installation of distribution panel (D.P.)
- Installation of new telephone lines from D.P. to subscribers
house.
- Construction's networking facilities from civil works up to
acceptance of the landline cables.
- Evaluation of test and inspection result.
Fiber Optic Cable
- Preparation of fiber optic cable.
- Opening of cable about 2.5 to 3 meters, then removal of cable
sheath, cavlar, filler, strength member and loose tube buffer.
- Cleaning of fiber optic cable, preparation on splicing tray
and then splicing of fiber using a fusion machine.
- Closing of finished splice fiber optic using any type of
closure such as doom type closure, PSI closure & 721 3M closure.
- Fixing of closure on aerial & underground spliced fiber
optic cable rolling of about 15 meters loop on crossbar.
- Testing & troubleshooting using power meter, optical time
domain reflection (OTDR) & talk set.
GSM Background:
Main Duties and Responsibility:
Telecom Electrical Power supply equipment devices and it's
accessories installation.
Installation of GSM 900 MHZ and 1800 MHZ antennas and it's
accessories.
Installation of and alignment of 2 mb Nokia FLEXIHOPPER
Microwave antenna at 70 m four legged tower.
Installation of Nokia DE, DF, DG34 Intratalk series equipment.
Laying Power Cable from BTS, MTS, Rectifier ACPDP.
Laying of Trunklines from Riser to Feeder Entry.
Feeder Cable sweep testing.
Battery back up termination 1 5/8 and 7/8 feeder cable layout
and connector installation.
Standard length monopol installation, for BTS panel antenna and
microwave antenna installation.
Responsible for the installation of nokia equipment such as Base
Transceiver Station (BTS), Metro Transceiver Station (MTS), Battery Backup
Unit (BBU), Combiner, Modem, Indoor & Outdoor Antenna.
Installation of cable ladder on floor plan given, Cable
Installation of 7/8 & 1/2 Coupler, 8 DB Splitter, 4 PNM Connector.
LOS SURVEY ( Line of Sight Survey )
To know if there is clear Transmission Path from the Site
Candidate going to the Link-Up Sites and declare wether it is blocked or not.
Perform Ballon Test if the Site Candidate is Green Field or a
Mini tower on top of the building.
Measure the Structure Height of the building as well as the
Antenna Center Line (ACL), where we proposed the location of the Microwave
Pole.
Taking picture from the near end Site going to the far end and
vice versa as well as the location of the Microwave Pole. If there is no roof
deck plan available we draw and measure every parameter of the roof deck for
the possible location of the Microwave Pole.
Photo Edit the pictures we have taken during the LOS Survey for
the reports.
Making LOS Survey reports using Map Grid and information
we"ve gather during survey.
