Military

September 1982 enlisted in the US Army.

February 1983 promoted to PFC E-3 after completing TAC Fire training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Stationed in Fort Riley, Kansas and assigned to the Fire Support Element of HHQ Division Artillery. While there I was assigned the responsibility as operator of an M577 Command Post Carrier along with personal driver / assistant to a Lieutenant Colonel.

July 1983 promoted to Specialist Four SP-4 after assisting in the training of ROTC cadets in fire support, navigation and safe weapon operations. I was awarded an Army Achievement medal and certificate for my participation.

August 1984 promoted to Sergeant E-5 and was assigned as squad leader in which I was in charge of daily training and supervising a ten man squad and supervising daily vehicle and equipment maintenance. This was just prior to participating in overseas Reforger training in Germany of which I received Army Achievement and Commendation medals for outstanding service. 

April 1985 transferred to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii where I was placed on the Staff Sergeant E-6 promotable list prior to my end of service with an honorable discharge.
