Responsible for managing construction and implementation of LAN
infrastructure for 14 schools in the Los Angeles area. Oversee the outside
plans (trench, pipe conduit layout), inside (wire mold) and network
activities (including installing the backbone, MDF, IDF, LDF cabinets and
fiber distribution). Ensure that all work is done to code, school system
specifications and IBM standards. Attend weekly status meetings as a
representative of IBM, to evaluate the progress of the jobs and make
presentations to school executives, vendor representatives as well as
identify problems and implement appropriate solutions.

Transport Planner
Designed Engineering packages for the placing of fiber backbones and
electronics. Determined fiber sizing, path and underground substructure
requirements for fiber loops in an outside plant. Planned economical SONET
rings with sufficient capacity to accommodate future demands. Conducted
customer site-survey to ensure that necessary environmental conditions were
met. Communicated on a regular basis with the Project Coordinator regarding
the successful turn-up of services for POP locations, dedicated rings and
building entrance facilities.

Project Engineer/Transport Planner
Engineered ISDN, HI-CAP, and 56 kbs. Designed aerial and underground
telecommunication delivery systems. Selected routes, analyzed substructures
and decided on the placement of telecommunications conduit. Created in depth
study plans through careful analysis and projection research utilizing the
LEIS/LEAD application system. Planned and designed Sonnet Ring configuration
as well as determined the multi-plexing equipment necessary for transport
solutions such as OC12, OC48, DS3, etc.

Senior Project Engineer
Assigned to IntelCom Group, Inc. to design the Phoenix fiber optic ring - a
network to carry voice & data communications throughout the Phoenix area.
Responsible for choosing the route of the ring, analyzing substructure and
deciding the placement of the line. Work with government agencies to acquire
access, permits, information and to make sure that all underground systems
are being designed according to regulations. Negotiate with various local
communications customers regarding access, service parameters and the
coordination of installation.

Senior Project Engineer
As a contractor to GTE, responsible for conceptualizing and coordinating the
planning and installation of modern telecommunications systems with numerous
transmission media, including; T-1 multiplexor network and fiber optic
cables. Planned, organized and supervised technical personnel. Instructed
staff in new equipment usage and techniques as well as revised FCC and/or PUC
regulations. Acted as a liaison between companies and clients.

Responsible for ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) programming and device
characterization on MTS 77, DX89 'LTX' & 1731 M 'Genrad" systems.
