Achievements:• Introduced Tellabs 6500 Next Generation Broadband Digital Cross-Connect System (NG BDCS) into the Verizon network.• Introduced Lucent MetroEon Ring - Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing System (R-DWDM) into the Verizon network. • Completed RFP for Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing System (CWDM). System currently being tested in Verizon lab.• Initiated and coordinated software buyout for Tellabs 5500 Wideband Digital Cross-Connect System (WDCS), which resulted in savings to Verizon of $26.4M.• Initiated proposal to replace Alcatel ECS-1 WDCS platform, which is Manufacture Discontinued (MD) and causing problems in the network.
