VERIZON COMMUNICATIONS – Dallas, TX                        2006 –2014

Director–Access Engineering and Network Project Management  (2011 - 2014)

Total accountability for the design and acquisition of all DS3/OCN and Ethernet services within Verizon (CLEC). Responsible for the management of network capacity project builds supporting the CLEC network.  Designed and ordered access circuits from Verizon ILEC and 30 external providers. Optimized the access program based on negotiated cost and delivery schedules.

 

·   Eliminated held revenue orders due to insufficient capacity starting in June 2014.  Accelerated revenue benefit was $20 million.

·   Reduced Switched Ethernet Service access costs by $25 million in 2014 through network over subscription process.

·   Project Management team carried project load of >2,000 monthly supporting $1 billion capital program.

·   Negotiated 20% improvement in local project delivery interval reductions in 2014.

 

Director–Central Office Engineering                 (2009 - 2011)

Selected by senior leadership to lead the first integrated Company (Verizon & MCI) Central Office planning and engineering team.  Team performance results became the template for future organization and function integration within Verizon. Responsible for space, power and environmental management at over 7,000 technical facilities.  Efficiently managed capital program of $250M annually to achieve technical results.
