Coordinate construction activities. Direct field and subcontractor personnel to meet schedule and production goals, schedule field personnel assignments, order materials, inspect construction work as necessary. Ensure safety is carried out throughout the construction process. Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards.

Sep. 06 to Dec 11 Construction Coordinator
Verizon Southwest – Lewisville, TX
Inspect Outside Service Plant (OSP) Construction work performed by contractors including substructure, placing and splicing. Ensure timely completion of work orders, inspect for safety and adherence to Verizon practices and procedures. Coordinate with developers and inspect developer provided conduit. Participate in pre-bid and pre-construction meetings. Make certain contractors invoices and as-builts are submitted in a timely manner. Approve invoices and unit changes , ensure correct payment and account codes for work performed and process CWR's as necessary.

May 05.-Sep. 06. Field Engineer
Tek Systems – Dallas, TX
Produce comprehensive outside plant engineering documentation for
underground facilities. Implement Verizon OSP engineering standards in
accordance with FTTP upgrade. Assist with permitting of routes in
compliance with governing municipality. Revise work prints to accommodate permitting authority changes, provide construction updated copies for proper billing. Make recommendations for changes in running line or construction methodologies due to knowledge of or experience in environmental conditions, construction access by crews, or congestion of utilities.

Apr.04-May 05. OSP Engineer
Ameriss – Dallas, TX
Produce comprehensive outside plant engineering documentation for aerial and
underground facilities. Implement Verizon OSP engineering standards in
accordance with FTTP upgrade. Perform inspection of the OSP feeder and
distribution facility for efficient cost effective design. Assist with permitting
of routes in compliance with governing municipality. Support construction underway, assist contractor with running line changes, hub & hand-hole placement.

Feb 03-Mar04 Construction Inspector
Leslie and Assoc.- Cedar City, UT
Inspect contractors installation of water system upgrade for Moapa Valley Water District in Overton, NV as required by funding agency. Document construction underway of main line and residential water services (pvc, ductile, poly) oversee installation of Fire Hydrants & Vaults. Supervise chlorination and testing of new water lines to meet AWWA requirements for drinking water. Oversee restoration of asphalt and concrete, compaction requirements, re-seeding. Maintain accurate records for owner (as-builts). Attend meetings, review change orders.

 

Sep. 02-Feb. 03 Equipment Operator
Henkels and Mccoy - Lewisville, TX
Operate trencher / plow, backhoe for installation of telephone line (copper & fiber ) & installation of peds. Drive tractor-trailer to transport equipment to various jobs. Maintain accurate paperwork for equipment maintenance, project
billing and crew hours. Supervise (3) man labor crew. OSHA trained in excavation safety.

Maintain control of OSP activities surrounding given worksites; maintain accurate records of construction underway in order to support the requirements of the project contract. Accounts for own and subcontractors’ work performed at any phase of construction and provides written correspondence to the team, the owner and governmental agencies as required during installation of PF. Actively participated in the engineering, permitting and construction process to support the requirements of the project contract. Supervised a team of (8) inspectors for Adesta Communications CDOT project.



Jun.99-Mar. 01 OSP Engineer
Cleveland Inspection Services - Cleveland, OK
OSP and permit engineering on both metro and cross-country fiber optic projects. This included red lining, but not limited to field drawings of the routes necessary for the most efficient and cost effective build of each project as contractor for Adesta Communications CDOT project.
