Designed various projects in Telcordia’s Network Engineer GIS System. These include Street Light LTE/4G Cell Sites & STEALTH Pole mobile site antenna projects, building entry projects (Fiber & Copper), Cellular-on-Wheels (COW) Removals. Also, assisted in resolving OSP issues related to recent conversion to the Network Engineer platform.

Completed detailed Engineering for various types of OSP projects including Distribution, Feeder-Fiber, IOF-Fiber, Make Ready Work, and Work Complete projects. Engineered DSLAMs for H.S.I. and did complete DLC change-outs to Adtran TA5000 technology. Also did Broad Gauge planning for exchanges and D.A.s plus other projects as needed.

Senior Engineer / Planner DSL Network Frontier Communications Bluefield, WV

Assisted in planning the DSL Broadband Expansion (BBE) Networks in the newly acquired properties of WV, SC and NC. Responsible for ordering Ingress/Egress leased circuits to link the various network elements. Also Planned and Engineered Aggregators/DSLAMs (Adtran TA5000, 1248A) for the exchanges.

BRAC Engineering Consultant (SITT) US Army, Ft. Detrick, MD

Provided guidance on the OSP and IT infrastructure of new building construction related to the BRAC Program. I participated in project design charrettes, and reviewed project plans for compliance to US Army standards for the OSP/ISP infrastructure portion of the projects. Made sure adequate copper and fiber facilities were available upon project completion and for the foreseeable future. Provided input into pricing of any extra or additional network elements such as PABXs, Routers, Switches, etc.

FTTP Engineer and Planner (FL & VA) Verizon Projects

Completed detailed engineering and QA of FTTP projects, both distribution (F2) and feeder (F1). Planned various FTTP DA level projects utilizing AutoCAD and Micro-station. Created FTTP inside Plant CCRs, initiated various backbone BERT orders (T1/OC3/OC12/Gig-E) related to the FTTP initiative in and around the Metro Washington DC area. Worked in other OSSs as well, such as VPlan, IVAPP, CLLINET, TIRKs, and others.

Duties also included provisioning and maintenance or the Building In-side Structured Cabling (BISC).

I developed two and five-year network switching plans, in an ILEC environment using SAP/TBS. These systems were used in developing yearly Capital Budgeting requirements.

>Analyzed emerging technologies for deployment within the network (i.e. Soft switch, VoIP).
