ACCOMPLISHMENTS
(Verizon):
Fort Belvoir Project: Responsible for supervising sub-contractors
in performing site surveys, and gathering detailed information, in an effort
to create a design to implement Verizon Fiber Optic Services (FIOS)
infrastructure on a military base for the first time. FIOS is a bundled
internet access, telephone, and television services which operates over a
fiber-optic communications network.
Field Technician Support:
During the times of Verizon strikes, and due to my technical background,
management assigned me to work in the field as a Technical Technician.
My duties included: Installed, maintained and/or repaired network
facilities, and associated apparatus from the station equipment to the line
card. Interfaced with customer to further analyze installation and
repair issues. Effected repairs and restored service outages. I
also performed cable pair recovery requirements. In doing this job, I
utilized various test equipment to analyze equipment troubles and took
appropriate maintenance action(s), etc.
Portfolio Management:
Responsible for managing the dimensions of the Verizon fiber optic network in
the Mid-Atlantic Region for developer portfolios to 205 residential Single
Family Unit (SFU) and Multi Dwelling Unit (MDU) properties, making a total of
54,524 residential units ready for FIOS services.
