Managing and supporting the network transport planning team in Florida region. Lead a team that responsible for planning and designing Fibers, HiCAP, High bandwidth, IOF, IXC, Wireless Backhaul and video networks. Plan Verizon IOF and OSP transport network in FL region using different types of equipment and technologies, ROADM, DWDM, CWDM, OADM, SONET, E-mux, small cell etc. Support and plan customer’s orders that include, DS1, DS3, OCn, Metro Ethernet (TLS, SES and VON) and Optical Wavelength Services (OWS). Lead a team in the creation of Equipment Standards/Guidelines, Planning, Network Capacity, and Detail Engineering Designs for all technologies associated with Verizon’s network. Assist team as they engineer detail, often complex, technical instructions (I-SPECs), author Engineering Guidelines/Standards for new and existing technologies, and order equipment/cables/hardware. Coordinate the following deliverables: project-specific installation designs, engineering database (AAIS, CCP, etc.) updates, equipment configurations, card/port assignments/requirements, power mapping, cable running lists, floor space and rack placement, and detailed Bill of Material (BOM). Facilitate/interface with Operations and other Implementation Organizations to obtain critical pre-engineering information, site specific data as well as redlines and other end of job information. Insure that all engineering documentation (including AAIS, Venue and CCP) is accurate and up-to-date for use by Install, Test, Implementation, Operations, Provisioning, and Audit groups. Duties and responsibilities also include leading the effort to develop and update Planning and Engineering standards, leading FOA projects for new, often complex technologies, and providing engineering support when and where needed. Manage and schedule multiple projects, balance workload of planning on team (and other teams for overflow support), and effectively coordinate with Vendor Technical Management, and Program Management organizations. Oversee reporting, making sure it is timely and accurate.

Plan and design various broadband, Video and network technologies for Verizon Inter-Office Facilities, IXC, whole and retail sales, enterprise - large business and government. Plan, design and manage all the Point of Presences (POP) and interconnection between Verizon and IXC, CLEC, ILEC and Wireless in the Southeast region (AT&T, AT&T Wireless, Sprint PCS & LDS, Broadwing, BTI, Global Crossing, Verizon Business, Verizon Wireless, Deltacom, Level-3, Metro PCS, Qwest, Time Warner, T-Mobile, Paetec, CenturyLink etc.). Worked in the Enterprise Network operation (ENO-MW-IP) department supported and monitored SBC internal network (5 states, IL, MI, OH, WI and IN). Responsibilities include monitoring, detecting, troubleshooting, isolating and managing SBC internal LAN and WAN infrastructure equipment and links. Performed 2^nd level diagnostic and recovery procedures for SBC intranet networks (OpenNet, CoNet and ENAF), participated in SWAT team, opened Cisco cases as needed and calling out circuits to HICAP and IXC for test.
