County Public Schools July 2012 to Present Work in a
multifaceted role as systems manager for Fluvanna County School division as
well as direct desktop support for the Fluvanna County High School. ·
Handle the
division’s (High School, Middle School etc…) OS deployment, application
deployment and security of desktops and laptops using Microsoft System Center
Configuration Manger (SCCM). ·
Manage the
Divisions two virtual environments using vSphere and VMM. ·
Provide desktop
support for High School staff and students. HS consists of 120 teacher
workstations, 150 teacher laptops and 275 student lab workstations ·
Ensure wired
and wireless testing labs are updated and available for use during the many
testing sessions given throughout the year. ·
Install/terminate
fiber and CAT6 wiring where needed. Director of Intrado Services - Professional
Communications (Blacksburg, VA) – July 2011 to July 2012 Managed and
directed all activities related to various contracts Intrado held with
Professional Communications (Pro Comm). Intrado provides 9-1-1 services and
emergency service infrastructure to 9-1-1 telecommunication providers and
public safety agencies. Responsible for Power 911 and Viper maintenance for 5
counties and 2 City PSAP’s (Public Safety Answer Points) in Virginia. ·
Regularly
interfaced with Verizon and Intrado help desks for maintenance dispatches. ·
Responsible for
emergency dispatches (50% system failure), on call 24/7 and required to be on
site within 2 hrs. ·
Implemented
preventative maintenance schedules and ensured that systems were kept current
with the newest patches and service packs. ·
Designed and
managed the placement of all VoIP and network wiring as it related to new
Viper installations for Henrico County and the City of Richmond. Information Technology Director - Fluvanna County
(Palmyra, VA) – May 2007 to July 2011 Operated in a
multifaceted role as Director for a small local government consisting of 9
departments spread throughout 5 buildings. Tasked with ensuring continuity
and optimal uptime of the county’s various systems including Windows Active
Directory, Microsoft Exchange and AS/400. Held all decision-making authority
for network security issues, policies and implementations. ·
Consolidated,
upgraded and secured county network infrastructure in coordination with the
various departments. ·
Provided
desktop support and network trouble shooting for county infrastructure. ·

upgraded the Internet connection from a fractional T1 to a full T3 by
