accountable for the performance testing and measurements of multiple vendors
DWDM/ROADM platforms, transponders and software regression testing, EDFAs,
EXFO/JDSU optical measurement tools & modules, Passive Optical Filters, 100G
CFP- IEEE 802.3ba, SFP optics testing and measuring those six entities
against other vendors specs, Charter’s network requirement and most
importantly Industry standards such as: Y.1564, G.671, GR-1209, Y.1564,G.709,
EtherSAM, BERT and RFC2544. With minimal supervision I perform substantially
varied and complex task, develop and execute procedures, test plans, and
equipment configurations as well as review architectural design requirements

flagship 7100 OTS ROADM optical product line and associated technologies (
ASON GMPLS Directionless Control Plane, Resilient VLAN Tunneling, VDSL2 PTM
BONDING,OTN and Packet Optical Transport). Authored and published
comprehensive marketing requirements, customer engineering test plans and
configuration documentation including enhanced photonic layer Control Plane
features such: Directionless, Colorless, Contentionless, and engineering test
plans for Tellabs Internal and International customers. My key role was to
support Product Launch Support in strategically positioning, introducing and
rolling out the ASON/MPLS control Plane application. I also traveled
extensively abroad (Internationally) to key market areas to support Pre and
Post Sales (both in EMEA and APEC) efforts by addressing customer problem
statements and providing cost effective solutions, creating BOMS, performing
lab trails and customer demo all of which revolved around the ASON Control

Developed and commissioned initially configurations file, groomed, tagged and
assigned VLAN policies and SLAs, migrated L2 VPN traffic and 1G services from
MRV OptiSwitch 900 to point of aggregation (Extreme Summit X670). Performed INNI
testing with wireless provider. Responsible for adding GigE, 10G optics
channels to active DWDM systems. My duties also included stress testing,
optical budgeting, fiber characterization, and all related ODU2 and OTU
component level. Dec. 11 2006 – Jan. 29, 2008 Windstream Communication CLEC Transport Engineer – West Region Arkansas Little Rock, Ark. I was responsible for maintaining the overall
health and growth of the CLEC and ILEC markets. I provided network problems
statement to vendors and vigorously negotiated total cost of ownership
(driving down the overall cost of the proposed solution) before selecting the
most cost effective solution. Secured 3rd party and contract labor provided
detailed specifications, material and Visio drawings for all ADSL2+, MPLS,
FTTP/GPON, OTN applications to accommodate Triple Play Services. I resolved
network capacity and managed network growth and expansion projects. I
coordinated daily with Network Planning and Sales engineers during initial
implementations, conducted cost comparison vs. cost competitiveness during
the vendor selection process. I submitted a capital budget in support of
budget development along with forecasting capital expenditures for all
accountable Transport/Optical projects. Sept. 2005 – June 2006 Verizon Communication Emerging Technologies Group Dallas, TX. My team coordinated and managed all
aspects of the PEG (Public, Educational and Government) channel
