October 2005 – Present TESINC, Tampa, Florida

On and Off Premise for Verizon in Sarasota Florida. Fiber design and layout of Single Family Units (SFU), Single Business Units (SBU), Multi-Family Units (MTU), and Multi Dwelling Units (MDU Businesses) projects that require immediate attention. Packaging of work orders for off prem design for new SFU's, SBU's, MTU's and MDU's that have ample lead-time. Quality review of all new SFU, SBU, MTU and MDU projects designed off prem. Input of all new off prem SFU, SBU, MTU and MDU packages into the IDDS, ICGS, IVAPP, AAIS, BDMS, V-build, and V-build rams systems. Contact with multiple developers and customers to maintain schedule of projects. Assist and answer Multiple FIBER FTTP and copper questions for my peers in the office. Drive areas to find new SFU, SBU, MTU and MDU projects that developers may not have contacted Verizon previously. Drive areas to review status of projects to determine release date of work orders so as to not release to early and to also avoid Delayed service orders (DORs).

Backup Admin side of the retrofit projects. Backup the site survey side of retrofit projects. Handle Jeop desk issues in all wire centers relating to SFU's, SBU's, MTU's and MDU's. Contact customers to acquire Premise Access License (PAL) for future service. Meet with homeowners associations and board members to discuss and inform them on Verizon FIOS. This also includes what type of retrofit that we may have to do to access there individual units. Answer phone calls from customers and developers regarding concerns and general questions pertaining to their projects.

 

September 2004  - October 2005

Progressive Communications Services, Inc.  Old Hickory Tennessee

Senior Outside Plant Engineer on premise for Verizon Florida.  Duties include engineering copper and Fiber To The Premise (FTTP) designs for new growth subdivisions in the Sarasota area. Computer pricing of work orders and tracking of projects.

 

April 2004 – September 2004 TESINC, Tampa, Florida

Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) design engineer.  Duties included the design and layout of aerial and buried FTTP facilities and counts for Verizon, New York and Maryland regions.

 

March 1995 - March 2004 AT&T

Regional Manager of 24 bases and 11 Lodges located in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and Puerto Rico, for the AT&T NEXCOM Project.  Interfaced with the local Navy, Marine, and Nexcom representatives to provide and maintain new and existing phone service to the BQ residents on base.  Responsibilities include budgeting projects for installation and maintenance of OSP and ISP facilities.  The supervision of OSP and ISP Engineering designs, OSP and ISP construction and splicing, ordering of OSP and ISP material, design of the Final Delivery Order for NEXCOM, installation, cutover, testing, upgrading and maintenance of DEFINITY GSVI switches, interfacing with ordering and placement of the trunks and cable pairs required by the Local Exchange Carrier to provide service, and the helping in the sign-up process of the customers. Additional responsibilities, in house computer hardware, software, and technical support for the AT&T NEXCOM group.

 

September 1994 - March 1995 AT&T, Irving, Texas

Site Supervisor responsible for Engineering, Safety and Quality, and Fleet management for the AT&T Outside Plant Southwest Division. Duties included the supervising and quality checking of all engineering projects, reporting of all safety and quality issues, managing and tracking of over 600 vehicles and equipment throughout the Texas, New Mexico, and Arkansas regions.  Managed and upgraded the office computers, developed Excel programs for the tracking of vehicles, equipment, and business expenses.

 

September 1993 - September 1994 VOLT TECHNICAL SERVICES, Dallas, Texas

Senior Outside Plant Engineer for MCI's Relocation and Upgrade department.  Duties included the engineering design of repair projects for damaged fiber optic cable. Engineering design and relocation of any fiber optic cables conflicting with State, County, Local, or Railroad agencies. This also included the ordering of all materials

associated with these projects.

 

August 1992 - April 1993 PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE INC., Honolulu, Hawaii

Senior Outside Plant Engineer for AT&T on the GTE SSP project.  Duties included were to design, order and configure the electrical, manhole, and X-box requirements for the various 914EX Metro sites, DMS Urban 800, Urban 600, SLC5 Type 51-A and 80-D sites.  Additional responsibilities required me to interface with the test and practice

department and the area Professional Engineer in the design of standard drawings for the construction of the above mentioned equipment.

 

June 1991 - August 1992 VOLT INFORMATION SCIENCES, Honolulu, Hawaii

Senior Outside Plant Engineer on premise for GTE Hawaiian Telephone Company.  Duties included the handling of the Aiea, Pearl City, and Waipahu Central Offices, distribution and checking of various work orders by contract engineers under my supervision.  Additional responsibilities required me to engineer routine, project specific,

DOR wired out of limits, TAC, PMO and new subdivision work orders.

 

March 1990 - April 1991 OSP CONSULTANTS INC.  Tampa, Florida

Outside Plant Engineering for GTE of Florida.  Duties included the handling of the Keystone Central office in the Tampa North Division, engineering of routine, project specific, DOR, wired out of limits, TAC, PMO and new subdivision work orders.

 

April 1987 - January 1990 BUTLER TELECOMMUNIUCTIONS INC.  Clearwater, Florida

Outside Plant Engineering for GTE of Florida.  Duties included the handling of the Clearwater and Indian Beach area Central offices, engineering of routine, project specific, DOR, wired out of limits, TAC, PMO and new subdivision work orders.
