l         Fiber Splicer (08/14 to Present): Employed as a fiber splicer for FTTH Google Fiber service. Fusion spliced Google Fiber residential customers at network access point (NAP).  Conducted aerial splices on a 28’/32’ ladder and underground splices in pedestals. Assured fiber drops were running to proper NAP before installation. Verified and annotated fiber strands on backbone fiber before installation.

l         Site Manager (12/13 to 08/14): Manage large work crew and subcontractors of over 25 to properly install OSP infrastructure at Red River Army Depot. Supervise proper installation, termination, and testing of Fiber Optic Cable. Conduct site survey and design outside plant infrastructure. Review OSP infrastructure and Fiber Optic install before government approval. Manage proper maintenance of equipment and vehicles. Submit and assist with purchase of LOM. Submit and approve subcontractor invoices. Attend weekly meeting and conduct daily safety briefing.

 

General Dynamics Information Technology – Shindand AFB, Afghanistan

●              ISP/OSP Technician II (1/12 to 11/13):  – Installed, maintained, and tested copper core, coaxial, and fiber optic cable, and LAN and WAN systems. Performed various cable testing and troubleshooting using various cable testers and OTDR. Spliced fiber optic cable using Fujikura 50s and 60s splicers. Also terminated copper using RJ45 and RJ11 connectors. Built and installed cable racks, cable trays, cable raceway, and J-hooks. Installed and punched down patch panels and 110/66 blocks. Maintained connectivity for NIPR and SIPR networks. Installed and Troubleshot connectivity issues for POTS and Cisco VOIP phones.
