I&R Technician

·       Install and repair POTS and DSL service to residential and business customers.

·       Test and troubleshoot all OSP and ISP telephone wiring for voice and data.

·       Verify quality of lines and signal strengths to ensure reliability and services work as advertised from central offices and remote DSLAMS to the customers premise.

Fiber Splicer

·         Splice outside plant fiber optic cables. Build and maintain variety of splice enclosures from start to finish. Both underground and aerial, butt splices and mid-span splices.

·         Test all OSP and ISP fibers utilizing NetTest ODTR and Fluke DTX-1800 test equipment.

·         Install FDP/LIU fiber panels. Terminate single-mode and multi-mode fiber using both mechanical and electronic uni-cam kits.

·         Help build networks from the ground up in many large businesses. Prep, install, dress, and terminate data cable using a wide variety of punch down blocks and patch panels. ADC/Systemax/Panduit etc.

·         Install and maintain the operation of U-verse IPTV, voice, and broadband internet services.

·         Trained in installing aerial and buried drop wire from serving terminal to the customer premise.

·         Successfully completed pole climbing training with ladders and gaffing. Experienced in climbing utilizing the 3 point contact method and following OSHA safety standards.
