As the Construction Senior Inspector/ Surveyor/ Engineer/ Independent Contractor for Manweiler Telecom Consulting, INC, Denver CO (April 2008- July 2014), I was in charge of Inspection of underground and aerial construction for fiber optic networks. Simultaneously responsible for supervision of up to six to ten construction crews; directional drills, trenchers, plows, back hoes, and manual labor crews. I was one of two engineers on fiber optic network on over 30 miles of mountainous and rural terrain. I also surveyed, field engineered and designed Outside Plant (OSP) in numerous towns and cities throughout Texas.

 

As an I.T. Infrastructure Specialist for IAP World Wide Services, Baghdad, Iraq (August 2007- November 2007) I Managed, maintained, conducted risk assessments, contingency planning, and upgrades to VSAT Satellite Internet Systems which provided world-class IP broadband connectivity to more than 500 clients while also providing twenty four hour technical support.

 

As a Special Operations Communicator and Team Leader for 1st Battalion 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Stuttgart, Germany (April 2003 –September 2006),  I Provided communications to a battalion of 500 soldiers by supervising a 24 hour radio base station operations center consisting of an Improved Special Operations communications Assemblage (ISOCA), multiple HF, VHF, UHF and satellite radio systems, numerous internal telephone and computer land links, and various communications security devices.  I operated direct communication systems including tactical satellite, HF, FM and cryptographic assemblies in support of Special Forces Operational Detachments Alpha and Bravo during training and real world missions, resulting in 100% combat effectiveness whilst deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.  I was selected to provide operational communications support for a Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha (SFODA) during Joint Task Force Liberia., Leading to 100% tactical, emergency and routine communications through out the entirety of the mission, and mission success. 

 

 

 

As a Special Operations Team Alpha (SOT A) Communicator for 1ST Battalion 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Stuttgart, Germany (October 2001 – March 2003), I developed and instated communications plans for a 20 man Military Intelligence Detachment.  Implemented primary, alternate, contingency and emergency communications plans for all training and real world missions.  I also planned and coordinated all US and foreign communications actions for the Electronic Warfare Detachment to include requests for equipment, frequencies, COMSEC material and other signal related functions.

 

As an Information Systems Security Officer HQ Battery XVIII Airborne Corps Artillery (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina (July 1999 – September 2001) I supervised the operation, installation and maintenance of single channel ground and airborne radio systems, HF radio systems and multiple subscriber equipment.  I installed, maintained, and supervised the Local Area Network for the XVIII Airborne Corps’ Fire Support Element.  I also built and managed the XVIII Airborne Corps’ Fire Support Elements’ classified web page resulting in flawless dissemination of information throughout the Corps and receipt of the Army Achievement Medal.

 

As a Long Range Surveillance Radio Team Leader, F Company 51st Infantry, Long Range Surveillance (LRS-C) (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina (January 1998 – June 1999) I Operated and maintained various Satellite communications, HF and VHF radio systems. I maintained combat readiness communications and communications security equipment.  I also supervised the moral and welfare of two junior staff members as they learned to function in the unit, enabling them to reach their potential and better serve the Army.
