Qualifications

·   Lead technician responsibilities: Ensure the installation of structured cabling systems and network equipment properly, safely, and adheres to BICSI, ANSI/TIA/EIA, and NEC standards. This includes coordinating with project managers, general/sub-contractors, and customers to ensure quality of service and time management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office for producing and providing required test results, training customers on new systems, doing daily status reports, material inventories, and timesheets. 

·   Ability to interpret and follow blue prints and scope of work specifications. Experienced in retrofits, cutovers, MAC’s and troubleshooting. Very experienced in building and designing telecomm closets: installing racks and cabinets, ladder rack, cable tray, j-hooks. Proper dressing of cable, terminating, testing, and labeling patch panels and 110/66, Krone and Bix blocks. Lacing and stitching cable at CO sites. Grounding, bonding, and fire stopping

·   Skilled in the installation, termination and testing of ISP / OSP, horizontal and backbone media: SM and MM Fiber: SC, ST, and LC connectors - unicam, anaerobic, and fusion splicing, CAT 3, 5e, 6, 6e, 25 to 300 pair copper, coax RG-6, 11, 59 : aerial and in confined spaces. Using a variety of OTDRs and Fluke cable testers.

·   Familiar with TCP/IP networks: removing and installing various routers and switches (rack and stack). IP Camera Systems and analog CCTV systems. Connecting and extending POTS, T-1, DS1, DS3's and PRI circuits. Basic Troubleshooting of Key / PBX, ISDN, VOIP systems, and analog line devices. Installing WAP's and Projectors
