I have over 12 years of experience in the Telecommunications field, which I have held various
titles in my tenure. I can proudly say all have led to Supervisory or Management roles within
those companies I have worked for. I believe that dedication, with a sincere commitment to
developing one’s own professionalism, along with open lines of communication, great team
effort are key factors to a solid working foundation, to which the company can succeed.

Work History
2013-present: Black Box Network Services- Houston, Texas
Project Manager/ Coordinator
Coordinate and direct the Inside Plant construction portion (ISP) of installations
for the Cbeyond fiber upgrade project in the Dallas, Denver and Houston
markets. My job duties consist of the following; Scheduling with the Property
Manager of selected sites during the entire project phase i.e. - PreconstructionSite
survey and quote submittal. Installation construction (racks, floor/wall
mount, dedicated power circuits). Installation of Cbeyond equipment including
but limited to; (switch, ups, router, patch panels- FDP, LIU). Installation of all
necessary data cabling described by customer needs; (fiber, cat5E, Cat6).
Followed by splicing and testing of all cables, node turn up of all site locations
after construction is complete. Coordinate the scheduling of all crews pertaining
to the necessary work detail. Acquire and the retention of needed
documentation, i.e. Certificate of Insurance prior to construction, verification of
employee time sheets and customer close out packages for billing purposes.
Oversee and implement construction strategies to insure all assigned projects
are completed within or before projected timelines and within budget
constraints.
2011-2013: Grayco Communications- Houston, Texas
Commercial Operations
Co-manage the Commercial Operations Department of Grayco Communications
for the Comcast Commercial account. My responsibilities were to oversee the
construction of OSP and ISP projects assigned to Grayco by Comcast. Attend
meetings twice a week with Comcast to discuss our project plan and at what stages
of construction our assigned jobs were at. The average number of jobs on the
project plan was 30-45 jobs. Issuance of work to all crews in a timely manner was
vital to ensure we met construction deadlines, (4 aerial and 6 underground crews).
Along with construction it was necessary to coordinate and schedule with Property
Managers, Building Engineers, and Property Owners a suitable time to encroach
on the designated areas to bring the cable to the customers location. Prior to any
construction, certificates of insurance were required in professional locations;
certain permits i.e. TX-DOT, city and submittal of utility locates for any areas where
excavation was to take place. Along with everything described above, I also
handled billing for the commercial department. This consisted of, verifying
crews proposed invoicing against the initial site survey costs, checking for any
discrepancies. Handling of any customer conflicts for commercial or residential
issues.
2008-2010: Vida Loca Mexican Bar & Grill- Katy, Texas
Manager
Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant including but not limited to
the following duties; opening and closing of the restaurant, the scheduling
and proper training of employees. Product consistency along with quality
control / loss prevention, vendor relations and customer service. Special
event coordinating and catering, completion of balance reports (P&L) and
bank deposits. Oversee the sanitation and cleanliness of the establishment.
1999-2007: Phonoscope Fiber Network- Houston, Texas
Foreman- Internal Construction
Oversee and supervise the internal construction department (ISP) of
Of Phonoscope Fiber Network. My duties included but not limited to;
Create billing of materials for upcoming projects, create and maintain
Spreadsheets / document files to track crew hours and cost on projects for
Construction Manager. Supervise the construction of conduit (1 ¼”- 4”) and
the installation of cables (Cat5E – 288ct fiber) in various environments and
enclosures i.e. (conduit, innerduct, u/g vault systems). In some instances
installation of equipment and hardware was necessary, i.e. patch panel,
wall plates, switches, ups, floor racks, wall mounted racks, cabinets. In
some instances complete MDF room build outs were necessary.
1999-1999: MYR-COM- Houston, Texas
Lineman
Aerial construction of network rings for designated customers. New build
of strand and fiber, set new poles as needed, designate routes for new
construction, update pole profiles before construction begins. Perform aerial
maintenance as needed.
