Houston Inspection Services LLC: Enterprise Products: ATEX Express Pipeline Project.

5-13 to 9-13

HDD & Utility Inspector. Inspected various directional bores including, pilot holes

reaming, swabbing & casing installation under waterways, highways and sensitive

areas on Segment 2.  Verified PMR Coil installation, azimuth readings and depth requirments.

 

Spectra Energy. New York, New Jersey Expansion Project. 6-12 to 5-13.

Senior HDD Inspector. 4,080 feet intersect bore. Inspected pilot hole, reaming and casing operations on various bores under waterways and the Hudson River on the NY/NJ expansion Project. Placed 60" & 48" casing using Herrenknecht PipeThruster system. Intersect bores utilized ParaTrack, SlimDrill Gryos and PMR technology. Verified azimuth readings, depth and MD

in addition to drilling mud specifications.

 

Denbury-Cimarex Project. Big Piney, Wyoming. 6-11 to 12-12.

Inspected installation of 8" Inconel Pipelines. Supervised and Inspected HDD Contractors, including design, installation, frac-out issues. Supervised VAC Truck clean up operations with Environmental Agencies. Also included, Clearing, Trenching, Lowering, Tie-ins, Padding & Shading. Enforced OSHA trench & general safety requirements. Supervised and inspected the placement of communication fiber optic cables paralleling pipelines. Placed 2" HDPE Duct by direct buried plow and trenching. Placed splice enclosures and calculated distance for cable placement by air-blown method. Additionally, supervised the installation of fiber optic leak detection cable placed directly on 8"casing. Conducted both pre and post installation test of all fiber cable. Witnessed all final splicing, testing & evaluated OTDR traces.

 

Cimarex Pipeline Project. Big Piney Wyoming. 9-10 to12-10.

Supervised & Inspected HDD Contractors installing 24" Casing. Designed bore profiles and coordinated operations with all environmental agencies. Supervised disposal of any frac-out fluid.  Inspected & Supervised installation of 20 miles of Fiber Optic Cable in conjunction with pipeline facilities. Placed HDPE conduit, handholes, & direct buried fiber cable.

Witnessed splicing, testing & OTDR traces.

 

Plains Pipeline. Fiber Cable installation & Pipeline Inspection. 7-07 to 12-08

Inspect pipeline installation. Trenching/lowering/coating/stringing/CP Units/ utility locates/safety & material specifications. Inspected HDD Contractors installing casing under roads, highways

& stream crossings. Attended manufactures’ seminar on CP installation procedures and 2 part epoxy coatings & shrink sleeve placement. In addition, I supervised all phases of Fiber Optic Cable installation in conjunction with 16” pipe line for remote valve activation and additional use by the Utah Department of Transportation. Evanston, Wyoming to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Bell South Broadband Project. West Palm Beach, FL. Direct supervision of engineers and

designers for Broadband Cabinet  sites. Coordinate and supervise construction contractors.

                   Interface daily with Bell South Managers and provide cost estimates, progress and projection      

reports.

Hurricane Restoration. New Orleans, LA Supervise restoration crews for Fiber Optic Infrastructure damage.

Alcatel USA. Apollo Project. Transatlantic Submarine Cable. France – New Jersey.
Manage all aspects of Terrestrial portion of project, including: Obtain all permits for OSP
Route-NJ DOT/County/ City Permits/NJ Environmental/Federal Environmental/Army Corps
of Engineers/Marine & Fisheries/Endangered Species. Obtain permits for 25,000 square feet
Terminal Building: City Councils/County/Federal/Planning Boards. Hire contractors for OSP &
Terminal Building and supervise all operations of both segments through completion.
 

European Quality Control Manager. 07-00 to 01-01
Lucent Technologies/Global Crossing Pan European Project
Monitor Quality Control of all phases of Fiber Cable Installation in Holland, Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, and England. Document and present to Management, defects in Construction Standards, Fiber Cable Installation, Splicing, Testing and Termination.
