·         Directly responsible for smooth functioning of staff and designated projects per BETSS-C/R-DISS/RAID/LEGACY (Flir) and (Gyrocam) camera sensor systems per (Base Defense Operations Center )

·         My activities as a Field Service Engineer, includes performing required on-site software/hardware engineering support functions required to, training/soldiers (EWO) field operations, safety operations, system availability, and mission readiness, to include software (RF bands L,M,H also (JCCS-1 Certified US Army , US Navy) installations, repairs, maintenance and test duties in support of multiple (CREW /JCREW systems (Counter Electronic Warfare Increment Two) is a ground-based electronic warfare (jamming) systems designed to disrupt enemy (IED) radio controlled detonators. Duties require a minimal level of supervision and demonstrating initiative, reliability, and independent judgment.  Resolving software and electronic issues/ problems and developing alternative operational or technical approaches to mitigate problems; to include QA, and QC, functions of completed systems to include circuit boards, testing all (RF) testing bands low, medium and high all electronics to include AC, DC power components per each systems and install/de-installs on all military type vehicles.

·         Installing and maintaining backup media for system-specific databases and system executable media; conducting table and database maintenance; performing monthly database backup and restoration and conducting systems initialization, and any other system administration functions as assigned;

·         ( FSR) Obectives included the installation, maintenance, training, troubleshooting, and loading of Radio Frequency equipment per (Hunter) systems. Installing and uninstalling high band, low band (RF) cables, remotes, GPS and primary unit, antennas, mounts, wiring and documents. Maintain and troubleshoot systems that fail to operate properly.

·         This may involve the failure of the system self-test, power readings from RF antennas and the spectrum analyzer to ensure that RF energy is operating properly. Collect Data from other installers (per Ft. Worth Texas) and from front line units (Marines) concerning any modifications involving (IED) systems performances. To include first echelon system configuration management per hardware and software upgrades.

             

11/2003 – 10/2006 Sr. OSP/ISP Technician, ITT Systems Div. Southern Iraq (OIF)                   

·         My activities included the Installation and Repair of Telecommunications, Telephones, Data, and (CCTV) Video, VOIP, Cisco Switches 2950, 3650, IGX Redcom equipment and main distribution frame maintenance per racks, wiring and 66Blocks, 110 punch downs. Responsible for installing pedestals, cabinets telephone equipment, repairing and splicing copper, fiber optic, weatherproofing, coaxial and cat-3,5,5E,6 cabling per ETA,EIA and TIA regulations/standards. Also Cell Site, installation, site surveys and testing. Military LMR, based radio system per USA/USAF.

·         Installed multiple telecom (NIPR, SIPR) backbones (1200 through 25 pair cables) and a new MDF from the ground up. Installed cabling, conduit, fiber optic connections, Pair Gain modems installs (DOD) Certified, for a 4500 user network including site planning.

·         Provided technical expertise, diagnostics and guidance in the design, movement and reinstallation of a complete technical control communications facilities at (2) U.S. Bases.

·         Verified and redlined engineering blueprints for cable installation through a 22 mile MH, HH infrastructure per conduits and buried cables.

 

4/2001 - 7/2003 Network Engineer II, SPRINT, Ocala, FL                                                                                                                                     

Our team main objective was Maintaining Sprints Southern Operations Provisioning Database (CIRAS) for Fiber Networks per state of Florida.

·         -Installed (SONET) Rings and Node Insertions associated with UPSR and BLSR methods. Inserted software changes/upgrades to the CIRAS networks, OC-3, OC-12, OC-48 and OC-192 Fiber routes provided on-site troubleshooting of Network Splices, Transmissions, Circuits and Optical Patch Panels and connections.

·         -Verified documentation on new fiber inserts, fiber builds equipment and splices for our network team.

 

9/1999 - 1/2001 Engineer I, MCI/ WORLDCOM, Richardson, Texas

·         Our team main objective was building the Advance Capacity Engineering System (A.C.E.S.) database. Responsible for updating Outside/Inside Plant Engineering guideline upgrades concerning A.C.E.S customers locations and routes.

·         -Traveled to locations across the United States to install and complete upgrades to ATM, SONET and Fiber databases. In addition surveyed sites in order to create new and better backbone fiber network routes which include Hubs, and Clecs concerning routes and equipment per customer involving A.C.E.S Fiber Database.

·         -Created ring and loop schematics for and Cable infrastructure. Also completed documentation involving base lining transmission equipment and monitoring the Networks for upgrades for A.C.E.S database.
