CONSTRUCTION DUTIES:

·         Make sure that contractor is aware of where plant is to be placed In accordance with construction drawings and any right of way issues that need to be complied with.

·         That contractor places plant with correct construction procedures, i.e. boring, plowing, trench and missile into place so that cable is not damaged and at proper specification as to depth, and desired distance from a known point ( r.o.w. or e.o.p ).

·         Document or “redline”auctual placement of plant and any field changes for final as-built drawings.

·         Perform shield continuity testing, power meter testing when cable is in final resting position.

·         Locate F.O.C. when needed

 

 

   Engineering Duties:

                           

         1.)   Staking out future plant. This consist of where actual placement of cable will be, and a known offset from some reference point

         2.)  Showing types and sizes of pedestals, handholes and number of drops being placed in each.

         3.)  Stationing if needed and providing type of RUS callout for; 1) Method of construction and distance (bore, trench, plowing, Rock footage, concrete or asphalt cut, placing in conduit or direct buried, building entrance, aerial placement, warning signs etc. )

         4.)    Placing information on existing or created drawing for final Cadd and Q C final dwgs

         5.)   Meeting with any federal, state, local entities or utilities for their requirements and for needed information in obtaining permits.
