o        Unreels, pulls and strings wire and cable from pole to pole.

o        Uses arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.

o        Moves and/or lifts material such as ladders, tools and test sets weighing up to a maximum of 100 pounds.

o        Climbs poles (step and nonstep to a working height of a minimum of 18 feet), ladders, enters tunnels, buildings, trenches, crawl spaces or manholes to place materials.

o        Uses hands or hand tools to make minor adjustments or put parts together.

o        Does work involving a lot of kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling or other uncomfortable positions.

o        Drives Company vehicle.

o        Keeps detailed record of all work activity.

o        Works independently with little supervision.

o        Operates power equipment such as compressors, pumps, blowers and hydraulic equipment.

o        Uses test equipment to check for gas in manholes.

o        Removes water and other debris from manholes.

o        Connects wires and cables to terminals and attaches or detaches various kinds of hardware to wires, cable, buildings or poles.
