Responsible
for working with the Subcontractor Engineering Staff; Bechtel Communications,
to determine a good design and constructability phase of a 38 mile Metro
Loop. There were also several other loops needed to be designed and
feasibility studies to be completed; and construction methods to be
applied. ·

CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES: ·
Supervised
three Field Coordinators, in upgrading 64 Remote Gate Valves stretched out
over 815 miles of the Alaskan oil Pipeline. The upgrades were installed
to utilize the Fiber Optic cable installed by M.F.S. Network Technologies, in
1996 and 1997. ·
Responsible
for all project documentation, Turnover packages for each valve, and ensuring
communication facilities including LAN and voice/data were up and working at
each site. ·
Also
responsible for tracking and providing transportation/lodging for my Coordinators
and computer/cellular/radio equipment needs for all project personnel. PRUHS CORPORATION,

MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES: ·
Duties
included setting up construction for a 101-mile fiber optic build which would
be the landfall for W.C.I's submarine fiber optic build from Whittier,
Alaska. The project consisted of coordinating with 3 different
subcontractors, one of which would plow the innerduct alongside an existing
rail road bed approx. 81 miles and would also blow the cable in after conduit
placement. ·
Responsible
for all the scheduling with the Tillamook Rail Road, arranged work trains
scheduled the bridge crews which attached conduit, scheduled the bores with
the boring subcontractor and the urban highway plowing; approved all
construction, negotiated all extra work issues with the client; ensured
subcontractor compliance with all permit issues; and set up and rented
equipment (hyrail) for our work crews to complete dig-ins at bore locations,

SUPERINTENDENT RESPONSIBILITIES: ·
Duties
included supervising twelve field engineers in constructing 452 miles of
fiber optic cable installation from Fairbanks, Ak. to Prudhoe Bay Ak.
As there were several subcontractors involved my Engineers ran an average of
2 to 3 four and five man construction crews performing a variety of jobs from
boring streams to plowing inner duct. ·
Responsible
for design changes, permit adherence and violations from 13 separate state
and federal agencies; as well as satisfying the client Alyeska Pipeline
Company. ·
Coordinated
and implemented a safety and training schedule; and for outfitting and
maintaining a fleet of diesel work trucks; applying for and setting up
multiple business accounts; scheduling and maintaining an R&R schedule;
approving route changes and extra work issues; and while working with the
Alaska D.O.T. ·
Conceived of
and set up a demonstration dig around a culvert, which ultimately saved
M.F.S.N.T. an estimated 2.3 million dollars in extra work charges due to a
