Summary: An electrician and electrical inspector with 24 years of construction experience related to electrical installations, traffic signals, roadway lighting, and Freeway Management Systems (FMS) for both the Phoenix and Tucson areas, as well as in Nevada, Utah, and California. My experience encompasses electrical installation, inspection, and project supervisor responsibilities. I have been responsible for performing construction oversight on various highway projects ranging in value from $100,000 to $10,000,000.

As an electrician, physically installed traffic signals, lighting systems, and fiber optics systems for various agencies, including the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and local municipalities. The installation work included conduit, poles, pole foundations, traffic signals, detection devices, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Variable Message Signs (VMS), Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), ramp metering, and 341/344 cabinets. have observed and conducted start-up procedures for traffic signals, roadway lighting, and FMS applications. Have has also approved final punch items for the substantial completion of projects including manufacturing/commercial buildings, schools, and offices. These inspections included making sure that service equipment, feeder circuits, branch circuits, fire alarm systems, information technologies infrastructure, and lighting systems were properly powered.  Also performed pre-design field investigations to document existing electrical inspections, as well as State and Federal Code enforcement.

As a Journeyman Electrician,  worked in various high-tech plants such as Intel, Motorola, Micron, and Wafer Tech installing and supervising all elements of electrical installation, such as clean rooms, chemical rooms, life safety, PLC’s, R/O towers and radio operator towers. Elements of inspection services included physical inspection of conduit, wire, and equipment, along with documentation of installed quantities.

Worked on several projects including the Power Road widening contract which involved new lighting systems, three signalized intersections and “E” street fiber system for City of Mesa. Was on assignment with ADOT as an Electrical/Fiber Inspector working on the design/build project, Red Mountain Freeway Loop 202, 24th Street to the Loop 101 overseeing the installation of the FMS system, new DMS signs and structures, freeway lighting and signalized intersections.
