OSP Engineer / Graphic System Designer

Managed the services of Verizon (OSP) outside plant Telecommunications systems.

·         Planned and analyzed outside plant and access network facilities, including route plan and serving area designs, to ensure the transitioning of the network for future broadband services, survey information for the elimination and preventions of conflicts, and proper installation locations within easements and public right of way.

·         Participated in construction bid walks, site survey, tower vendor, equipment vendor and site acquisition meetings to provide input related to network engineering deployment requirements & solutions, timelines, audit and installation of acceptance criteria.

·         Oversaw the services of thirty-five areas of optimization of wireless cell site provisioning and acquisition including bid walks and site survey.

·         Designed and assembled layout (OSP) outside plant drawings using MicroStation, AutoCAD and PC hardware QA.

·         Collaborated with engineers, vendors, representatives and project managers in designing parameters and implementing OSP engineering standard and units.

·         Analyzed, designed and planned outside plant facilities, both fiber and copper, for data/voice complex systems to ensure consistent application of standards in new construction and modifications of existing facilities.

·         Performed architectural and construction (OSP) engineering for ATT, Verizon wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, Time Warner, Cal Trans, state and local counties, hospitals, colleges, schools, business campuses and major local development.  

·         Supported system projects through various phases, including program planning and development, systems development, design and construction of telecommunications facilities and engineering requirements. Site support systems projects on-time and within budget guidelines.

·         Utilized engineering and contract processes and interacted with members of the construction team, including architects and building engineering consultants, general contractors, and the building trades.

·         Implemented GO95 rules for aerial construction in California, joint poles, and JPA in conjunction with Edison and cable TV to ensure compliance of deployment guidelines.
