·   18 + years of experience in engineering, mapping, placement, troubleshooting & repair of Fiber Optic, Copper, Hybrid-Fiber/Coax and Structured Cabling systems; includes 8 years as Project Manager and Director of Field Operations. Well versed in RUS specifications, billing and coding

     

·   Outside Plant Construction Manager for multiple Telephone and CATV providers. Manage aerial and underground copper, coax and fiber optic construction activities. Including new pair-gain sites, pole lines, residential and commercial copper/fiber/coax installations.

 

·   D.O.T. State and County forced relocations and road moves.

 

·   Extensive knowledge of industrial and institutional communication infrastructure. Includes new construction and retrofit. Installation of Manhole systems, raised floor, data centers and shelters.

 

·   Successful record as OSP Construction Manager leading team members in the placement of fiber optic, copper and coax cabling by working collaboratively with sub-contractors and employees to achieve project’s goals and deadlines.

 

·   Project estimating and bid preparations; Responsible for structuring and publishing responses to RFP/RFI/RFQ and Invitation to Bid for Governmental, State, County and City municipalities including private industry telecommunication construction opportunities. 

 

·   Contract Administration; responsible for managing the execution and completion requirements. Includes, scheduling, budget tracking, material reconciliation and final invoicing to customer.

    

·   Experienced with multiple types of test equipment; OTDR, Locators, and Spectrum Analyzers, Field Strength Meters, FOC Fusion Splicer.

 

·   B.I.C.S.I. TDMM trained, CSX Railroad Safety Trained

 

·  Residential and Commercial fiber optic installation including MDU drop rework. Supervise large scale rewires for apartment construction and remodels utilizing MultiLink and Panduit material.

Experience:     

 

·  Manage and supervise numerous fiber optic, copper and coax construction projects in Florida Panhandle, Lower Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi region. Additionally, responsible for placement of no less than 150 miles of new fiber optic construction per year.

·  Prime Contractor for Windstream, Valley Telephone Co, Cox Communications, Comcast, Centurylink, Mediacom, KDL, Southern Light

·  Additional tasks included managing emergency and stand-by responsibilities.

·  Vast experience with municipality, utility, D.O.T. permitting applications and procedures.

·  Manage and coordinate efforts of specialized maintenance for 4,000 miles of existing hybrid fiber cable infrastructure for Comcast Cable. Execute and manage company’s safety protocols and weekly field meetings focusing on risk management.

·  Damage control investigation and management focusing on cost recovery and restitution.

·  Implement placing & splicing strategies, supervised and prepared work schedules for 80 splicers, linemen, and underground placement crews for a $58 million communication infrastructure upgrade project.

·  Responsible for quality control and quality assurance of aerial and underground plant placement.

·  Manage underground construction activities and monitored necessary procedures to execute directional bore, direct bury, and trenching techniques.

·  Schedule and manage 24 hour on-call rotation and outage control crew.  Developed outage response criteria and procedures.

·  Redesigned and engineered powering and R.F. distribution discrepancies.

·  Map and As-built Cox Communications regional hybrid fiber systems.

·  Performed cell site equipment audits; antennas, radios, diplexers & multiplexers.

·  OSP Technician at area military bases installing FOC and structured communication infrastructure, Tyndall & Eglin Air Force Bases, Naval Air Station Pensacola including Saufley & Hurlburt Fields in the Florida Panhandle.
