I have Over 30 years’ experience in the Telecommunications Industry and am looking for a PM and/or construction manager position.

 

I have an active DOD Secret clearance and a current Passport.

 

Since retiring from Qwest communication I have been working OCONUS in Afghanistan as a PM or QA/QC working on PdM-P2E/ I3MP projects building copper and fiber rings, including whole new rings and/or extensions of existing rings. This work included installation of maintenance hole, concrete incased duct banks, pulling fiber and copper, terminating fiber and copper in Building entrance terminals and/or fiber patch panels, putting in new ADN’s (area distribution nodes),being onsite to monitor that work was being done to government and industry standards as out lined in the TIA/EIA, NEC etc.

 

Before that I worked Mil-Con/ BRAC projects on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville Alabama and Fort Bliss Texas working on Multi-Million dollar projects.

·          Spliced and installed cable to new construction including, section throws and hot cutovers of working service.

·          Troubleshoot, repaired, modified, maintained, installed and removed aerial, buried and underground cables.

Design-build four main structures totaling over 400,000 square feet, including the 300,000-square-foot, seven-level AMC tower with classified operations facilities, command suites and executive conference rooms, a cafeteria and war room areas; the 89,000-square-foot, three-level USASAC office building with secure meeting rooms, conference facilities and the executive office of the USASAC commanding general; 11,000-square-foot central utility plant; and a 4,000-square-foot lobby under 24-hour manned security, which serves as the main entrance to both facilities. For a high profile, $47 million project, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will not trust just any contractor with its on-time, on budget completion. However, with B.L. Harbert International at the helm of the 163,000 square-foot Rotary Wing Center Hangar and Headquarters project, USACE can expect the project to be completed as expected in February 2011.

The design/build project includes a 126,000-square-foot hangar on a 75-acre development. The hangar facility includes administrative areas, aviation operations, testing areas, parts storage and technology shops located all in one facility. The development maintains a comfortable and useful environment for both administrative, fabrication and testing functions for fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft, B.L. Harbert states.

The headquarters complex consists of a two-story steel framed structure comprised of a 37,000-square-foot office space addition to an existing and fully operational facility on a separate 10-acre site development.
