Area Manager DSL Build out South Western Bell (AT&T) South Bay Engineering

Led team of 40 that built out DSL for entire South Bay San Jose area with 20 Engineers, 4 Right of Way Agents, 4 Loop Electronic
Engineers and 2 Permit Coordinators and 10 contractors assigned to our group. Designed and implemented the fiber back bone and
placement of 200+ Controlled Environmental Vaults that varied in size from 1 LightSpan 2000 to being able to hold 4 LightSpan and
SAI Cross connect. In addition the team designed the placement of the central office equipment and OC 12's and 48's. These major
projects were high visibility and were implemented successfully within the tight timelines required.
Planning Engineer SBC

Planned and budgeted Outside plant for 2 wire Centers, Junction wire centers and for the two Largest Business customers; Cisco and
Intel. This was during the Dot com boom and companies where growing exponentially. Successfully managed to meet their growth
needs for High bandwidth services. Included in one of the wire center’s was Dial that contained Apple's main Headquarters. This wire
center was rated worst in California and the second largest. It had the highest number of Facility modifications and held orders in the
state. Successfully moved this wire center to best in the state and received an accommodation for that improvement as well as
recognition from Ed Whitacre, President of SBC who requested me to take on the challenge to provide planning and budget for DSL to
every resident of the city no mater loop length.
Outside Plant Engineer Pacific Bell – SBC (Pacific Bell purchased SBC)

Design Engineer accountable for high visibility wire centers. Improved the Fac Mods and held orders within budget. Position provided
ability to expand knowledge a variety of services. Provided engineering for everything from dark fiber all the way down to POTS.
Specialties include direct buried and underground applications but also have a good understanding of pole line construction, Joint pole
and G.O. 95.

Provided contract engineers to Pacific Bell. Responsible for providing responses to Pac Bell their request for quotation. Grew the
contract support provided to Pac Bell from 50 people to over 300+. These contractors were skilled engineers to assist in cable TV build
out as well as drafting support. Grew the business from initial contract to providing Pac Bell contractors across the state of California.
