Sr. Network Planning Engineer (Manager)

·         Provides long term planning on designs, analyzes, and modifies network components and architecture in support of Video transport for the Digital Video Center in NY, AT&T Video Network VHO’s and SHO to support the U-verse Television network for LD & Local transport of HD/ASI/SD video and GIGE data circuits.

             

·         Prepares the analysis of the short or long term video capacity needs for the AT&T Video network through feasibility and cost studies. Creates deliverables such as capacity management reports, engineering binders, business cases, 3 year plans, and project approval letters.

 

·         Interface and supported the sales and product marketing groups to discuss customer video requirements and design reviews. Preparation of SOW’s and Engineering designs for all proposed video engineering projects planned for the year and the allocation of success budget to support these projects.

·         Managed the engineering staff of 10 and assigned all New customer FTTF fiber cabling projects, common space, network backbone and MMR facilities builds. Engineering surveys entail ROE’s for conduit laterals, UG and aerial fiber routes, MMR infrastructure designation and conduit placement within buildings.

 

·         Engineering design reviews performed on all proposed project designs for fiber diversity,

              points of failure and construction layouts to adhere to OSP              standards prior to completion of

              engineering designs and bid submittals. All bids reviewed               for accuracy and kickoff calls

              scheduled.

 

·         Assign project milestones for engineering, UG/Aerial make-ready and construction               components of work. Scheduling of OSP construction, fiber splicing and fiber testing to

              meet corporate objectives for project compliance.

 

·         Provided maintenance support of Fiber plant to on call engineers for all generated trouble

              tickets and to adhere to MTTR restoration objectives. Provide post-mortem reports for                         root -cause analysis to NOC.

 

·         Performed weekly reviews with project managers and contracted work force on the               progress reporting for all projects, invoicing and as-builds prints.

 

·         Managed the OSP Planning group in the development, cost estimations and design layout

              of Telco infrastructure projects, Meet Me Room facilities and Access Cost Reduction

              projects.

·         Integrated and implemented data, voice and video (CCTV) communication system over               fiber optic networks for the New Jersey Transit Authority. Troubleshooting of fiber               transport systems, video switchers, monitoring consoles and audio equipment.
