·    Support the DoD Mark Center building LAN/WAN networks. 

·    Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco 3750, 3600, 4500, 6500 and Nexus 7000 series switches and routers.

·    Monitor network CPU, memory utilizations and bandwidth reports using NMIS

·    Analyze network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.

·    Work with customers, vendors and service providers to effectively isolate network outages and equipment faults.

·    Configured trunks, etherchannels and HSRP between distribution layer switches.

·    Created new and updated current software images using Ghost for Servers and Workstations.  Coordinated new Windows  

      2000/XP Server and staging tasks.

·    Evaluated and updated system patches, antivirus signature files using Symantec Enterprise and Windows WSUS.  Configure,

      update and troubleshoot Symantec Antivirus and Symantec Spam Filter.

·    Responded to user trouble tickets, network alerts and follow the problem management functions to resolve system/network

·    Monitored the health and performance of systems using NetIQ.  Managed regular metrics reports; provide analysis and

      recommendations to improve overall performance.

      Upgraded, tested and troubleshoot T1/T3 circuit upgrades for CONUS/OCONUS DCMA sites.

·    Installed and configured Cisco PIX 515 firewall with failover and Kiwi Syslog Server for USCG NAVCEN.  Configured all

      Cisco devices to use SSH, NTP and Syslog Server.

·    Installed and configured over 100 Foundry Big Iron series switches and routes as part of the network modernization project

      for the entire Ft. Jackson base.  Configured OSPF, HSRP and configured network to pass multicast traffic.

·    Update and correct site diagrams for DCMA, DLA and Ft. Jackson networks.  Conduct site surveys for DCMA, DLA and Ft.
