I returned to the VTA to manage
broadband projects to reach the State’s 100% service objective.
Technical Project Manager for the
Vermont Telecommunication Authority (VTA). In this role I provide the
strategic technical vision to achieve the business objectives of 100%
broadband and cellular coverage (e-State initiative) set forth by the
Governor and State Legislature. In my first term in this position
while working for DII, we won a $33 million dollar grant to build a fiber
network in Vermont, announced June 2010. I currently manage this as
well as other broadband related projects in my portfolio.

TCE since 1997. I was promoted to CTO to oversee all technology
operations. Successful projects include a virtualization of servers
into a high availability VMware cluster, work order tracking system,

Manage State WAN / LAN infrastructure
where I oversee the operations that maintain facility connectivity, data
center networking and redundant internet egress for the State. In
this position I have redesigned much of the infrastructure and supporting
systems to provide state agencies much greater control and understanding of
their agency network status. Redesign created $250K per year
savings.
Design / implemented new IP/VLAN
structure for all State networks. Designed new data center network
and oversight for all enterprise application security requirements.

President of an information technology
consulting firm. I oversaw the daily operations and establish
corporate contracts to support businesses throughout Vermont. The
services provided ranged from yearly full service MIS support to project based
contracts augmenting existing MIS departments. The focus was to
provide cost effective IT solutions for small business that could be
remotely managed and monitored.
Skis Dynastar / Rossignol Ski Co., Williston,

Full responsibility for project
management, systems security, staffing, budgeting, operational efforts and
communications functions for Rossignol Group North American Information
Systems. Five direct reports.

Orchestrated Corporate move of Dynastar Ski Co. and
consolidation with sister company, which entailed a total redesign of
network topologies including multi-domain Active Directory migration and
consolidation of ERP systems.
·
Reduced paper waste by over fifty thousand dollars per
year by redesign of report system.
·
Implemented reorganization of call traffic logic through
Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) to further the efficiency of customer
service operations and decrease customer hold times.
·
Identified operational deficiencies in Rossignol
infrastructure. Infrastructure project was defined, presented to
executive management, approved and implemented within timeline and
budget. The scope of the project embodied the design and
implementation of a comprehensive telecommunications and data network
infrastructure redesign for Rossignol Group N. America.

Managed North American IT operations,
planning, budgeting, and personnel.

Created network infrastructure to support operations for
Canada and US operations.

Architect and project manager for bar coding
implementation for North American warehousing.

Assessed telephony operations and reduced operational
cost by implementing a new PBX / ACD system along with contract
re-negotiations. This created a more efficient workflow and improved
customer experience. The ROI for this project was one year.

Managed project and implementation of a Checkpoint
firewall, Internet Service Provider cutover, and VPN configuration that
reorganized the structure of the Dynastar / Rossignol WAN to successfully
secure the entire North American WAN, increase dedicated connectivity
speeds, and at the same time reduced annual costs by thirty thousand
dollars.

Manager – Reporting to Executive Director
This position entailed market analysis,
network design, contract negotiations, hardware configuration and product
development of a local Internet provider. Oversaw the early
development of a multi-state Internet provider. Provided systems and
technical support to non-profit, environmental organizations and the United
Nations that used our international BBS (TogetherNet) and support for over
twelve thousand Internet users.

I was in charge of a squad that reported real time information to national
level sources. Managed and operated over $2 million in
equipment. This job required a Top Secret Security Clearance.
