·               Spearhead a range of programs and projects designed to enhance the city’s technology capabilities, improve client satisfaction, and grow revenue. Serve as Chief Advisor to the Mayor of the city of Alexandria on all technology related initiatives.

·               Develop and implement city­wide policies and standards aimed at maximizing effectiveness and minimizing costs related to the acquisition, implementation and operation of IT systems.

Engagement: Department of the Treasury, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (Over $35million)

Scope: The project involved automation of Monetary Transactions tracking process and entailed development of an enterprise-level data solution to collect, collate and analyze FinCEN form to provide Business Intelligence solutions. The program comprised of multiple projects that included: Secure File System, Statement of Record and Advanced Analytics Release 3

 

·               Served as the Senior Build & Configuration Manager, responsible for version control and deployment of code from development to testing through acceptance and rollout into production environment.

·               Managed the code repositories for 30 developers, within time constraints, and represented the Project Manager for delivery of the project.

·               Crated the Secure File System database engine and developed ETL program to load the data into the database, with a team of 5.

·               Developed 40 ETL transformations and 20 updates to the Secure File System data model.

·               Developed the Statement of Record database and the transformations necessary to move the data from Secure File System to Statement of Record database.

·               Developed over 40 transformations and 15 stored procedures, containing over 1000 lines of code. Provided almost 15 recommendations for efficiency upgrades to the SOR model.

·               Designed the Advanced Analytics datamart and create the ETL transformations to extract data from the staging table.

·               Developed SAS cubes for the SAS analytical platform and delivered successful analytical products using SAS toolsets.

·               Developed the 105­table AAR3 database and approximately 120 ETL transformations to prepare the database for analytical platform.

 

Engagement: US Food and Drug Administration ($10M )

Project: Master Data Management

Scope: The project involved identification of master data across multiple data warehousing containing commercial drugs/pharmaceutical company data.

 

·               Served as Lead Engineer for the project; Extracted official updates to medicinal packages held at FDA, and ensured the availability of most recent and accurate data across all databases.

·               Built 4 unix batch files containing over 2000 lines of code, 35 Informatica ETL packages, and built the master web API designed to call the FDA business rules engine, to ensure data integrity.

Project: Air Operations Information Management System and Associated Data Entries

Scope: The project involved development of a SharePoint based Information Management System that facilitated logistical decisions at a global level.
