Attached is Mr. Chetan Desai’s resume.

Mr. Desai has more than  20  years experience in IT leadership role.  He has played the role of Directro of Software Engineering, Director of Software product strategy, engineering and software manager, & Solution, Enterprise , and Information architect. He has been part of application development team, in enterprise architecture group and with CTO offices.  He lead Arhcieture teams and software development teams.

Mr. Desai has technology management experience including project, engineering, and program management and he has also lead many architecture and technology strategy as Sr. Advisor Enterprise Architecture.

Chetan is consulting as Architect prime at BlueCross BlueShield of Michigan.  Implementing and strategizing IT portfolio alignment with NHCR.  In this role Mr. Desai is providing thought leadership and guindence in blueprining, Value management & strategic portfolio transformation. Chetan is a key advisor on many technology and business process changes for areas like Actuary, client services, Group administration, Underwriting , risk assessment and revenue management.

Chetan worked with software consulting company and helped them establish cloud and big data practice and supported this initiative with very large clients in logistics, retails, and hardware engineering. In his engagement he played pivotal role in winning a large project against many other leading vendors. 

Chetan worked as Director of Software Engineering with a digital media company and was responsible for software architecture, engineering, product strategy, and support. He had team of software engineers and architects working on various aspects of software development using latest technologies like open source Bigdata, ETL, Multi-terabyte data integration using data appliances, and data mining and analytic.  Looking at Chetan’s success in first release, management team assigned additional responsibilities and other directors reporting team to Chetan.

Chetan has deep technology management & staregy background in Healthcare industry. At WellPoint as Sr. Advisor Chetan participated in enterprise wide programs, and lead discovery sessions with business.  Chetan has created business technology heat-maps and architecture and project roadmaps based on business strategies. Chetan lead many architecture visions and complex technology implementation including IVR, correspondence management, UM/CM/DM.   Chetan has worked on architecture blue print, business cases, and hands-on implementation for rules engine,  MDM, ESB, ODS and EDW.  

At Walgreens Chetan managed and grew data warehousing department working as PBM data warehouse manager.  Chetan was responsible for re-architecting the data warehouse and   project sizing, budgeting, vendor management, user relationship and employee management. Chetan was promoted to this position with the goal to stabilize, manage, and redesign the data warehouse. Before he joined several components were failing. The group and the application were in unstable state. Chetan devised three-step plan with other department managers and directors to reach various goals. These goals include a) short-term goals to stabilize application and detach adjunct systems; b) midterm goals to enhance hardware and software, and create true analytical, operational and strategic data warehouse; and c) long-term goals to create MDM and ESB layer around the data warehouse to create real-time analytics. He successfully achieved these objectives and during this period.

During his career, Mr. Desai has managed multiple offshored projects from US. He has seen offshoring from various facets and aspects. Chetan has been a program manager with Cronus Technology when the company took major initiatives to offshore software development.  Chetan was responsible for total success of the Offshore Operation Center. The responsibilities include planning technology transfer, process planning as well as directing and control of various activities at the development operation center.  Chetan has participated in various vendor evaluation processes and RFPs. He worked with department heads and managers to evaluate projects that can be offshored and created offshoring process frameworks and guidelines. He was responsible for providing estimates of cost saving while working with offshore and onsite team in setting up the infrastructure and project specific processes. Chetan has also worked with various offshore vendors mix in his project teams.

Chetan always develops deep understanding in business case and requirements before suggesting technical solution.  This approach has helped him create a strong bond with architects, business directors, VPs, and deliver positive outcomes for his engagement.
