Franklin provided our Data Quality group with Trillium expertise. He had deep knowledge of the Trillium application and was always willing to transfer knowledge to my team. Franklin's role expanded beyond complex data matching routines for my group. He helped integrated Trillium into our Informatica MDM solution using the Informatica Connector. Below is a write up I did showing Franklin's indespensability in supporting multiple processes at Marsh and Guy Carpenter;

Franklin is one of the most indispensable resources that MINA/PCR uses.
MINA/PCR, especially the front end, is tightly intertwined with the Trillium tool.
Trillium is a data parsing, validating, formatting and data generation tool.
Franklin is a Trillium guru, much more than just a resource that knows how to use the tool. He is one of the beta-testers for the tool.

Every record in MINA/PCR goes thru Trillium as part of the load process. Trillium maintains the post office rules of almost every country in the world broken into four catagories; Robust, Mature, Standard and Basic. As Marsh is currently getting data from 70 or 80 countries it is critical to have a resource who can interpret these rules on a country to country basis.
As records enter or are rejected error messages are generated. Franklin knows the Trillium rules and more importantly knows how they are applied and what most likely happaned if a record fails. No one else in the company can do this as well.

Franklin also knows how to add, delete and modify Trillium rules on a global or country basis. No one else can do this, period. This has proven very important in many countries.
Franklin also maintains the tool by implementing upgrades and new postal directories.

Marsh also uses Trillium for OFAC screening. While this function is being migrated to the Bridger tool at present we are still dependent on the Trillium OFAC module. No one else is capable of doing this.

Franklin is also serving as a resource to Guy Carpenter as they decide to use Trillium as part of the front-end of the MDM (Master Data Management) toll that they are buying.
In short, without Franklin, or an equivelent resource, both current processes and the Marsh Force implementation will be severly impacted.
