Scope – The multi terabyte Enterprise DW at Neustar sources data from external as well as internal systems. Data from huge external customers like NPAC (number portability), AT&T, Registry (.co, .biz, .us domains etc.), UltraDNS, DECE etc, is maintained within DW and used for reporting via OBIEE. Data from internal systems like Systems Quality, NOC, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow data etc. is maintained as well for efficient internal operations of the company.

 

Responsibilities

·          Part of the development team that worked on various projects including NPAC, DECE, AT&T, UltraDNS. My responsibilities included ETL and OBIEE model development in these projects

Scope - The DW system from TotalMusic was enhanced further to produce extremely complex royalty reports to four major music labels Sony, EMI, Warner, Universal and also to other independent music providers. Additional star schemas were added to cater for both streaming and downloading royalty needs. This system was also enhanced further to be report on play related and other dimensional data to produce analytical reports to help management make informed critical decisions.

 

Responsibilities

·          Designed & developed star schemas in Oracle using ER Studio to accommodate streaming & download models.

·      Developed ETL to load these stars using Pentaho’s ETL tool Spoon and shell scripts.

·      Established process to load hourly play log files produced by front end (using Hadoop) into the DWH system

·          Designed and developed streaming and download type royalty reports for Sony, EMI, Warner

Scope - The DW project was designed and developed to produce a better reporting platform for TotalMusic. This system is used to efficiently generate various charts/reports like the top artists/top albums/top genre etc. This system has been designed and developed to produce royalty reports for various music labels on a regular basis and also to take care of various management or other level adhoc reporting requests.

 

Responsibilities

·          Analyzed OLTP systems and was part of designing dimensional model for the new DWH system in TotalMusic

·          Designed and developed the star schema model

·          Analyzed various open source ETL tools like Pentaho, Talend and Kinetic networks

Scope - The Corporate Technologies Applications (CT Apps) Metrics reporting project is an internal project that was initiated to provide complex and high-end Business Objects reports to AOL Data Warehouse management team. These reports are used extensively by high level managers to in turn monitor their projects’ status and the information that is being captured in their various internal systems’ databases.

·          Was part of core DWH BO reporting team and our aim was to provide enterprise wide BO reporting solutions

·          Design BO XI reports studying the various existing systems on Oracle/Sybase databases

Scope - Omniture RDF project was initiated to compliment Omniture's reporting capabilities and provide AOL with ability to report & analyze Page views by active screen names (Unique Visitors) and User Type(s). While Web Usage data and reports are available currently through Omniture Site Catalyst tool, there are limitations with Site Catalyst like Integration of AOL Internal data, Integration of data with other AOL and third party reporting mechanisms ex. COM score and adapting to changing dimensions that are addressed with the Omniture RDF project.

 

Responsibilities

·          Was Onsite coordinator/Module-Leader of the Omniture RDF team at AOL, handling onsite and offshore resources, distribution of work, managing deliverables and various other coordination activities

·          Extracted and delivered reports out of highly complex data with very large volumes to the various business teams, to help them analyse and study customer patterns

·          Initiated, designed and developed Omniture Operational process model to streamline requests from the various business teams and to be able to handle business requests in a more defined way

·          Part of the core Data warehouse team of 10 and our aim was to provide enterprise wide DWH solutions

·          Gathered requirements and developed design for the Free Standing Liquor PI project

·          Prepared technical and functional specifications for the DWH module of this project

·          Worked on design, development, deployment, scheduling and maintenance of ASR Data Warehouse

·          Worked with development and implementation of Pro C and Informatica/UNIX jobs to handle files sent by MVS

The predominant work done by secretariat is workflow intensive, i.e., there is a lot of file based flow of information between offices for consultations, opinions, approvals, etc. some of this work requires the creation and maintenance of a critical decision making database
