Professional Highlights
Altegra HealthCare Mount Laurel 9/2012-present
Senior Data Analyst – Create consice and usable reports for healthcare clients
based on recipients’ clinical data stored in the database. Involved
interaction with external clients to collect requirements, analysis of
the requirements, identification of the data needed and creation of the
logic to extract the data into reports for the customer.
Hewlett Packard, Trenton, NJ 3/1/2011-9/2012
Sr. Conversion Data Analyst/ ETL Developer - . Design and execute processes to validate,
standardize, purify and transform large scale government source Health Care
systems data to convert to New Jersey Consolidated Assistance Support System
(CASS) using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and TALEND Open Source Data Management
Solution tools. Involved interaction with DHSS to map healthcare eligibility
data which included Medicaid, General Assistance, Child Care, TANF and Food
Stamps from various source files to the appropriate values in the target
system
Molina Health Care, Trenton, NJ 8/2009 –
3/2011
Business Analyst - Technical Business
analyst for the NJ Medicaid web applications. Responsibilities include
gathering requirements, documentation of these requirements, analysis of the
current system, creating technical specs and liaise
between the business users and the technical staff
Accomplishments
· Created and implemented an Automated
Reporting System as part of the companies ‘go paperless’ project. The
system involved using SSIS, TSQL and .net to import data from various sources
into one central area in order to consolidate it into SQL Server tables and
extract Medicaid claims reports on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis to our
Reports Distribution System
· Creation of Corporate Service Level
Agreement Reports. Worked with Remedy Help Desk staff in India to
extract data from the Remedy Database to create reports that would
automatically be created and fed into our Reports Distribution System once a
week.
· Redesigned the current interface of
health information edit code data to automatically be fed from our mainframe
system into our SQL Server database so that edit codes and their descriptions
could be researched by healthcare providers using the website. These
codes were manually maintained previously and the accuracy and timeliness of
the information was often questionable.
Phillips Van Heuson,
Bridgewater,
NJ 7/2009 - 8/2009
Technical Reporting Consultant - Created Sales Rollup Reports by location
for the outlet centers across the US using crystal reports and Oracle pl/sql
stored procedures. Prior to the creation of these reports, a variety of
reports were manually created merged together using excel which resulted in
inefficient and inaccurate reporting.
SeaCastle Chassis, Princeton, NJ 2/2004 -
5/2009
Senior Systems Analyst- Lead Analyst and Developer for a leasing
application that stores and maintains data on the leased equipment such as
fixed asset, technical specification, procurement and accounting information.
Accomplishments
· Web developer responsible for
incremental, short- term releases of our Asset Management system written in
VB.net, ASP, HTML and java script. The application used an oracle 10g
database with PL/SQL stored procedures, views and triggers for its data layer.
Responsibilities involved collecting user requests, prioritizing and grouping
these requests into logical units, gathering requirements thru meeting with
the user groups involved, writing/updating the use cases, functional
specs and implementation. Responsible for acceptance testing and
helping the user understand how to use the new or updated
functionality. Created documentation and release notes and build
scripts for the releases.
· Designed and implemented a
synchronization interface between the legacy application and the new
client/server replacement applications to keep data between the systems in
sync. The interface was written using oracle 10g triggers, PL/SQL
stored procedures and dynamic SQL. This interface saved time and reduced
data entry errors since the data only needed to be entered once and the
application would translate and update the corresponding tables in the other
system.
· Created a complete reporting system
using crystal reports with an oracle 9i (later converted to 10g) back end for
a fixed assets application that accessed a database containing fixed assets
information by month. The reports included Asset Add, Asset Change, Asset
Transfer and Depreciation Reports. These reports saved the users and IT
professionals many hours each month since they were automatically created and
did not need to be manually run and coordinated.
Transamerica Leasing, Purchase, NY 1994 – 2004
Programmer/Analyst Consultant
Container Leasing application which stores and maintains information
on the equipment such as specification data, customers/contracts that lease
the equipment, movements of the equipment such as pickups to a customer or
drop offs to a depot and billing information.
Accomplishments:
· Analyzed and re-engineered existing
functions residing on the mainframe to run on UNIX using oracle databases.
The new functions were written in PL/SQL and accessed the newly designed
tables in Oracle 9i. These functions were incorporated into a schedule
using unix scripts and run under Control-m.
· Part of the team that rewrote the
existing billing system residing on the mainframe using Cobol II and DB2 to
run entirely on UNIX using oracle 9i. The project involved creation of
functional specifications, implementation using PL/SQL, triggers, UNIX
scripts and Control-m and testing using parallel runs between the
mainframe environment and the UNIX environment until successful completion in
April 2003.
IBM Corporation 1988 – 1994
Software Engineer Cary,
NC
1992 – 1994
Created and maintained ‘code behind’ the program product Visual
Age. This product was written using Assembler and PL/AS.
Application Programmer Sterling Forest, NY
1988 – 1992
Developed and supported the Central Application File
(CPF). This system maintained parts information for mainframe
computers. This applications was written in PL/1.
