Professional Experience

Electronic Data Systems (EDS)/Hewlett-Packard(HP)/Mphasis – Project Lead                  October 2000 – Present

Financial Transaction Data Warehouse                                                                                                                                    Belmar, NJ

·         Served as an Analyst, Database Administrator (DBA), Designer, Developer, and currently Project Lead.

·         As Project Lead, manage the design and development of a Data Mart used for executive reporting via Business Objects Reporting Tool; including creating all of the tables in the Data Mart using SQL scripts.  

·         Quickly mastered the Data Stage ETL tool with minimal instruction and independent knowledge acquisition. 

·         Develop most of the ETLs used to extract the data from multiple servers to populate the Data Mart; which currently processes 1 – 2 million transactions daily.  

·         Serve as Subject Matter Expert on pilot project to port the Data Mart and Data Warehouse tables used by Business Objects Finance Reporting Universes via Talend Open Studio to a Vertica Analytics Platform.

·         Manage and oversee several other significant projects, including loading compliance information and terminal activity information into the Data Warehouse.

·         Develop multiple Ad-Hoc Queries using SQL and other AS400 query tools to provide reports to the client.

·         Served as an Analyst, DBA, Designer, Developer, and most recently Project Lead.

·         Helped develop the Data Model for a Cable Billing System that was later turned into a Subscriber Management System. Maintained the Entity Relationship Diagram using Knowledge Ware’s Application Development Workbench (ADW) analysis Workstation on the PC.  Maintained the physical data model using Synon/2E on the AS400.

·         Designed and developed the IXplusWrapper, an interface between a UNIX-based application and its AS400-based application, utilizing Java on the AS400.

·         Served as Developer and most recently Project Lead.

·         Led the Claims portion of the Real-time Membership System (RTMS) implementation for Iowa Blue Cross and Blue Shield customer. 

·         Planned and scheduled resources, and served as primary contact for RTMS and Iowa account management.

·         Led a major portion of design and construction of the Claims interface with RTMS. 

·         Served as Claims ‘Front End’ Lead Systems Engineer; trained and assisted others in the Front End area. 

·         Provided production and project support for the Front End portion of the Claims System.

·         Assisted in the implementation of Common Working File into the Medicare system while on a temporary duty.
