Description Kevin’s
consulting role on the MMP (McKesson Medical Platform) project at McKesson
Health Solutions (a subsidiary of McKesson Corporation); involved analyzing
all existing data within McKesson’s old CRIM system and it’s specific
functionality as well as the processes, procedures, and data storage areas
(databases, data marts and warehouses), meta data and documentation in order
to produce a new Health Systems Medical Platform Warehouse of information
using Oracle’s SOA ESB components; to be used in conjunction with Oracle
Data Services and calls to produce an efficient and reliable access
method that was to be used by every person, doctor, pharmaceutical company
and medical facility in the USA. Accomplishments ·
Analyzed all existing data
(profiled, analyzed, standardized using various DataStage tools) from various
file platforms such as Client Server and Web applications in regards to
quality, fit and need for the new MMP system. This included analyzing
all the existing medical codes (for example: CPT, DRG, and ICD-9 code
sets) against the existing McKesson codes and making the needed updates,
inserts and deletes. ·
Duties and responsibilities
included developing models in ER/Studio, Leading the design and development
of Data marts, Databases (including RAC administration) and a Data warehouse
for McKesson Health Solutions and a redesign of the existing CRMS
database/data warehouse system into one with more functionality. The platforms
were to be able to be client specific so even though we developed for Oracle
10g. The design needed to support any database used by a client. ·
Develop conceptual, logical, and
business process models and mapped all Objects to existing Relational databases
or new required data storage areas. Used industry standard UML models and
modified accordingly to fit healthcare model needs as matched company and/or
client business data. ·
Data models developed were forward
engineered into DDL for Oracle 10g databases, SQL SERVER 2005 and other
various database platforms as needed, for use with Hyperion. ·
Developed Oracle ESB
procedures and processes for data services in conjunction with
assisting in the development of the other services that moved data from
almost any platform coming into the system to the various areas and platforms
McKesson had in their enterprise system (oracle, SQL databases, DB2
databases, the CRMS database and the McKesson EDW). ·
Data Architecture and ETL
Architecture technical vision was geared towards Java Development and was
to support Data Distribution and Data Migration to various areas and
platforms specific to each client. All systems were classified as high
availability and 24/7 support. ·
Interfaced directly with decision

implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions in regards to
