Role: Senior Developer/Functional Lead.

IOCM (Inbound Outbound Customs Module) is the Customs Reporting and Clearance solution for the NYK Lines. IOCM handles all communication to and from Customs office of United States. This application/module is primarily used to transmit Bill of Lading Manifests, Vessel Departure, Vessel Arrival, Container Arrival, Permit to Transfer information to Customs Authorities through Electronic Data Interface (EDI). Using User Interface, users across all geographies submit their manifest and eventually these manifest submitted to United States Customs .Then US Customs sends back the different type of responses against the different type of manifests submitted.IOCMUS process all the responses and display the status and information on UI and generated emails.

The system involves 35 scheduled jobs which take care of different functionalities. The combined user base of the system is about 500. IOCM has a load balanced cluster of 2 nodes for Web Server, 2 cluster nodes for application and Database.

 

Responsibilities:

·   Successfully implemented IOCMUS project as Tech Lead/Developer.

·   Participated in requirements gathering and compiled them into design document.

The ENS will contain all the information related to the BL(s) and an acknowledgement will be received from the customs for Acceptance or Rejection of the ENS.

IOTL (Inbound Terminal Manifest) submit Manifest Information to US Terminals. Using User Interface user submit those manifests to Terminals which have already been reported to US Customs. User can submit original Manifest or changed manifests.

TML315 (Terminal Release 315): For every Bill of Lading passing through the Customs, corresponding containers will be given a status, called the “Release Status”. Subsequently, this information will be passed to Terminals and they will release/hold containers accordingly.

EDI ODS Suite of applications:

ANR Preload & Pre discharge Extraction: For ANR (Port of Antwerp) data extraction module (Preload & Pre-discharge Extraction), COPRAR is the EDI message we use to report to the Terminal Operators what containers are supposed to be loaded or discharged from a sea-going vessel

RTM Preload & Pre discharge Extraction: For RTM (Port of Rotterdam) data extraction module (Preload & Pre-discharge Extraction), COPRAR is the EDI message we use to report to the Terminal Operators what containers are supposed to be loaded or discharged from a sea-going vessel.

PSA Import Status: (Port of Singapore Authority) PSA Import Status gives the information of all the containers discharging at any facility of the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA).

PSA Inbound Manifest: The purpose of the PSA Inbound Manifest Data Extraction is to electronically generate inbound cargo manifests and submit them to the Port of Singapore Authority.

PKG Import Status & FTS: PKG Import Status Data Extraction Module is a program which extracts all container information which its POD is Port Klang on each routing.

The Flash Report presents keys financial metrics including Volume, Net Income, Transactional Items, Expenses and Headcount on a weekly basis, and is a key management tool used by Senior Leadership to monitor Real Estate’s actual and estimated performance against budget. The web-based version includes two parts:

          A Reporting Application that displays the summary level Flash Report as well as several more detailed versions of report.

          A Data Input Application that enables the business areas to easily submit their weekly Flash data via the web.

Flash Report provides instant access to financial information. Information flows seamlessly from Editors entering financial data, to Managers submitting the data for inclusion into weekly reports, to System Administrators approving and consolidating the data into the final weekly report. Real Estate Users can then view the data for the latest week as well as previous weeks from the system’s database archive.
