Army civilian employee - Information Technology Specialist, Systems Analysis / Application Software (Series 2210, GS-12), U.S. Army's Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command (AMCOM) G-6 Information Management.

 

Technical:  Visual Studio 2010, ASP.NET, VB.NET and C#, .NET Frameworks 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5, Oracle 10g and 11g database development (Toad for Oracle), JavaScript, AJAX, XHTML, CSS, and “classic” ASP.

Served as Computer Software Specialist Programmer/Analyst web developer in support of the U.S. Army, at Enterprise Data Management Office, Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA), Redstone Arsenal.  Designed and developed web application from demonstration/proof of concept level to production release.  Web application replaces scores of Excel pivot table files to provide users with rapid real time access to CCSS data.

Served as Computer Software Specialist Programmer/Analyst responsible for all phases of the software life cycle which included definition, design, development, and testing of software products offered to over 1,300 subsidiary franchise offices within national cleaning and restoration service industry. I performed analysis, design, development, test, and supported software applications for corporate functional areas including National Accounts, Client Development, National Call Center, Business Operations and Accounting. I used my skills to prepare work schedules (using information models and experience), set priorities, analyze and identify problems/relationship through software testing, plan work, provide expert technical guidance, evaluate quality assurance of group work and assess timeline impacts for the team. I ensured compliance with all corporate policies and procedures as they relate to IT practices. I functioned as the expert source of knowledge for the team on the state-of-the-art software programming techniques/products and provide information management systems software development. I stayed abreast of state-of-the-art software programming techniques/products and information management technology and make recommendations on hardware and software and have an in depth knowledge of Open Systems Environments. I ensured data interoperability and data sharing was applied and implemented while building and integrating systems and capabilities.

 

Developed ASP.NET / VB.NET applications. Web applications along with Web Services (SOAP), console apps and one Windows service. Heavy emphasis on financial data capture, tracking / analysis / reporting and custom work flows. I developed, recommended and implemented software analysis plans to assure the adequacy and integrity of the data associated with all applications. Quality of data was imperative for our business.

 

I was responsible for database development, data integration, web integration, data schemas, database, and system interfaces.  I was responsible for production and test web servers on Windows 2003 (clustered) / IIS configuration and upkeep. Web site set-up, production deployments, and off site application continuity planning (disaster recovery).

 

Prior to move to web development, I worked on a custom client-server product for dollar estimating and job site workflow data capture / recording of services performed. VB 6.0 client interfaced with web based (.ASP and VB.NET Web Services). Server side development synchronized information between hundreds of client databases with centralized SQL Server storage at Corporate; SQL Server stored procedure development as well as XML / XSLT processing.

Programmer/Analyst: Access 97, Visual Basic for Applications programmer. Client software development for electrical utility industry database application. Windows client software application gathered input from remote electrical meter devices. Meter data (outage, power consumption) received by database application, where central office could manage power demands, create management reporting, and billing.

Programmer/Analyst: Visual Basic programming with Oracle database backend. Provided client software for document scanning, storage and cataloging for property management systems (governments, land use management). Companys business expertise was in the Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Developed client imaging database via Kodak / WANG third party package. Imaging portion of software interfaced with both graphical (mapping) and non-graphical data elements (property records, ownership, transfer, etc.). Also developed installation and configuration tools delivered to client end users.
