Feel). Developed a multi-threaded windows application to import data from
excel spreadsheets gathered from staff across the department into the RMT
application's database.
Work on the migration of our Client’s English
unilingual Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server intranet IT site, into 12 other
sites, each in a different language, including: French, Spanish, Swedish,
Thai, Chinese, and more. Solution required custom development of a solution
that allows the user to toggle from current site’s language, to English
language and back to the site’s original language.
Provided support as part of the JDSU Support
project. Tasks involved ongoing support which required creation, updating and
deletion of user accounts for JDS Uniphase worldwide. Role was temporary,
filling-in in someone’s absence.
Worked in the initial phase of Nortel’s .NET
migration project. Tasks involved collecting requirements and evaluating fit
for MCMS 2002 and Commerce Server 2002 for the new implementation. Role also
required knowledge of .NET Framework 2.0 and related suite, SQL Server 2005
and future Microsoft Enterprise Content Management Offering, in order to
evaluate the technical directions of the project.
Worked on the conversion of CCSA’s existing
website into an MS-CMS 2002 enabled solution. Project involved the

framework and is supported by its own Oracle database. The purpose of the
application is to allow Transport Canada’s Managers to establish reporting
preferences to be used when producing reports. It is an integral part of
Transport Canada’s Manager’s Portal and integrates seamlessly with the
Business Objects suite of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Government of
Canada's CLF (Common Look and Feel). Designed and developed a supporting
multi-threaded windows application to migrate data.

Canadian public to search and retrieve financial information about Political
Entities from Elections Canada’s public web site. Also worked as a Senior Developer on the Web
Political Entity Publishing Registration System, a web application developed
using the Microsoft .NET framework that will make registration data about
registered associations and nomination contests accessible through Elections
Canada’s public web site. Involved from the construction phase to the
deployment of the application. Project included development of the web
application and its supporting database, as well as the construction of a
heterogeneous database replication mechanism that allows for synchronization
of data from an internal Oracle database, onto a SQL Server database hosted
on a remote Internet Data Center. Replication mechanism includes an
export/import and publishing process, which allows for staging and approval
of the new data, before publishing to production environment. Integrity of
data is ensured by fully transactional, distributed operations. Web
application was developed to be very scalable and reliable, as it is hosted
on multiple, load-balanced web servers, and database servers.
